Family of Fidel Guzman - Corozal, Puerto Rico

I am looking for any family related to my great great grandfather, Fidel Guzman of Corozal, Puerto Rico. I know he was married to Isabel Hernandez, and Antonia Montisino. His Maximo is my great grand father. I know most of our family still lives in Corozal, and I am looking for anyone else out there who I havent met yet.

By any chance did Rafaela Guzman-Garcia have two siblings with the names Pablo Guzman(my great grandfather and married Hipolita Resendes) and Policarpia Guzman(married Rogelio Venegas) she was in Huejuquilla del Alto, Jalisco, Mx for the 1930. By this time Pablo Guzman had already died. I do know that Pablo and Policarpias mothers maiden name was Garcia, was wondering if there was any conncection there. I am from Texas. Someone I know told me that the Guzman is of Jewish roots (Gusman). I hear also that our Guzman's here in the area I am from, are from Spain.

Check out the Jewish Holocaust names of people who died, some were Gusman.

My understanding is that the name Guzman in Latin America is like Jones in the US. Very common name.

My husband is a Guzman. I'm trying to find information about his grandfather's family. They were from the Southwest United States. Texas and New Mexico specifically.

I am looking for information about my husband's grandfather, Ishmael Guzman. He was born in New Mexico in 1919 and was raised a couple who were possibly his grandparents. The only clue I have is the 1930 census record which show him living with Abran and Tioddrita (it's hard to make out the actual spelling) Guzman, who are listed as his grandparents. Ishmael was married to Sarah Baca.

There are many Guzman's in South Texas. The Guzman's I am from are from Granjeno Ranch near Mission Texas. Someone I know has told me that we are of Jewish descent, however, it is spelled with an s not a z. Some Gusman's are in the Jewish logs at the Holocaust Museum in Germany.

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to gather as many Guzman's as possible. it would be great if every one can post where they come from.

I've been reading some posts on the site but they are 10 year old a lot can change in such time and a lot of you might have gathered valuable information about the Guzman.

I never thought there were that many Guzman, I see people from Mexico, El Salvador, Texas, Puerto Rico, Chile and many more countries.

I for instance come from Santiago Dominican Republic, my father being Raimundo A. Guzman Gomez also from Santiago.

I once heard that the Guzman in Santiago are of European origin.

Is there any way that they had another child names Petra Gallegos or Maria Petra Gallegos born about 1902 in El Potrero, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and died about 1980 in Dallas, Texas? Her parents names were Josefa Guzman and Lucio Gallegos, but I can't find any more information about them. Petra is the great-grandmother of my husband

Hey I just recieved your message, well my grandmother died in 2006 and she was 99 years old so it sounds about the 1920s, I just know that her brothers were in a war in the town and they made statues of them becuase they saved the town. DOes that sound familiar to you

I have a Eusebio GUZMAN in my family tree, as well. I show him married to a Basilia CARRILLO.

He was born in 1877 and had a daughter named aria Jesus Carillo GUZMAN.

My relative, Maria Del RefugionGUZMAN was born in 1920 in Garcia De La Cadena, Zacatecas. I show her marrying a Navidad Correa LARIOS in 1942 in the same town.

I have not found her married to a Isidro SAndoval. Maybe she re-married?

I also do not show any brothers or sisters for her at this time.

My Grandfather was Anastacio Gusman, not sure of the spelling. They are all light skinned including my mother Hilda Guzman. They are supposedly all of spanish ancestry and some german but who knows. I am currently doing research. My parents were born in Iturbide, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Just wondering if anyone has found info on Guzman ancestors in Mexico. Little is known about my great grandfather other than he was of fair/white skin, had green eyes, blond hair and was not particularly tall. His name was Lucas Guzman. He married a native Mexican woman in Michoacan. I've heard there are other Guzmans in Mexico with similar coloring, etc.

My name is Kaylin Guzman I'm 23 and I live in Arizona. I am looking for family in Puerto Rico as well as Northern Indiana/Chicago area. My mom is Pamela Guzman (she doesn't go by that name as she's married). She's the daughter or Luis Antonio ("Tony") Santiago Guzman. I know that he was born in Puerto Rico and his sister's (Sonia and Juanita) still live there in Bayamon. He had a total of seven siblings (he as the oldest, the two sisters, and brothers Leonardo Jr., Samuel "Sammy," Richard, and Juan or "Johnny"). Their parents were Leonardo and Flora Santiago Guzman, of Bayamon (both now deceased).

I'm just looking to find cousins and other family and maybe fill in missing parts on my family tree. I can fill you in on my part of the family tree if you know, or can help me find what I'm looking for.

My husband's name is Eusebio Guzman from GDLC
He has Guzman Larios as his Great Grandparents....
Father J. Isaac Guzman father was Eusebio Guzman and he was married to a Juanita Larios.......There were 13 Children. I wonder if Vitorio, was a descendent of this family......

Let me know, as I am doing a family tree of my heritage pluse my husbands.......There were the guzman larios..larios guzmans...Guzman Olaez....in this family of 13 children........
There are some Flores and Robles familis in the mix too...

Any help would be great...I have some pictures of the Cemetary in GDLC....It is much prettier than it was 10 years ago.
