I know it's a long shot but when I saw the name Moses Hall as one of your John P Hall children and since I'm at a dead end in my research, I decided to write. My Moses W Hall was born abt 1820 and lived in VA with wife Ann Eliza born abt 1822. They had the following children:Josiah, Malinda, Robert, Charlotte Elizabeth, John T, James Samuel, William A and Mary H Hall. I'm trying to find information about John Hall and his wife, Mary Whipple. In the 1880 census she's listed as a 6 year old, living with her parents John and Elinor (Elizabeth Laura KIDD BACON) Whipple in Williamson Co, Texas.

In the 1900 census Mary and John Hall are listed in Coryell Co, Texas, with Mary's mother living with them.

That is all I know of them. I would love more information about them and the death date and place for Mary's mother.

He is my great great grandfather born in Maine (1797/98) and was married to Ann________? He moved to Uxbridge MA along with his wife and 6 children before 1850. It seems as though he must gave had also are relatives (Halls) from Sutton,Uxbridge area in Massachusetts ,as to make such a move. We are a wonderful family searching for our Hall roots and we are not able get past this point. Johns children were Hezekiah, Martha, William , Moses,Charles,and Albert Charles was my great grandfather who married Ella Rawson. Ella and Charles M. Hall lived in the Uxbridge area and had 2 children ( Bessie and Charles Augustus Hall). Charles Augustus is my grandfather. His only son, Malcolm Kenneth Hall was my Dad. Any suggestions?

Here's what I have on Nancy and Ruth Hall, daughters of Jesse Hall, born 1755, and moved to Pickens County, SC. Nancy was born in March, 1795, and Ruth was born in June, 1798, and they were 2 of 12 siblings, some of whom did move to Georgia. ButI don't think this Nancy and Ruth are the same as the ones you list, due to different birth dates and order.

I have a Nancy b. 1790 married to Geroge Clemons living in Lumpkin co, GA from SC. Also living with them in 1850 was a Ruth Hall, a bit older than Nancy. (both from SC)

Could these be Jesse's daughters? Nancy and George were no longer together by 1870, so I dont know what happened, he remarried and no other Ruth except his daughter. Ruth was too young to be a mother to either.

Earliest record I have found is the 1870 census record.
John resides in Carter county, Grayson precinct, Kentucky.

Born abt 1824, Virginia
Married to Malinda ??? (b abt 1828 in Kentucky).

with children Greenup b 12/24/1852 (my great great grandfather)
Mary b abt 1855
Nancy b abt 1858
Frank b abt 1861

They last show up in the 1880 census living in Liberty precinct, Greenup county, Kentucky with son Greenup and his wife Susan (Lunsford) and family.

I am happy to share the info I have and would definitely appreciate any help. The Hall branch of my family is definitely a challenging one to follow.

Born July 27, 1907 at Banner, son of the late Grant and Delilah
Jarrell Hall.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Hunt Hall.

Survivors include one son, Howard Douglas Hall; one daughter, Mandy
Wagner.

Burial is in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.

If you know when and where this Albert Hall died, social security death records would pin down his birth date. The last census currently available is 1930. There isn't any Albert Hall, born after 1920 in MA or NH with siblings Carl or Helen, but there is one in Boston whose mother's name is Helen.

I AM LOOKING TO FIND INFORMATION ON ALBERT HALL WHO IS DECEASED. HIS SIBLINGS WOULD INCLUDE CARL HALL, HELEN HALL, AND I THINK THERE IS ANOTHER SISTER. THEY WOULD ALL HAVE BEEN BORN SOMETIME AFTER 1920? THEY LIVED IN THE MASS AND NEW HAMPSHIRE AREA. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

That is what I have of my line right now. I am working with some folks in WV to try to get back a little further. As far as I know, John and Sarah were marred in northern WV, but not positive. Yoho is an unusual name - it is of Swiss origin.

My Hall family come mainly from Ayrshire in Scotland. I am continually making new discoveries and visit New Register House in Edinburgh twice yearly, where they house all Scottish birth/deaths and marriage records. What else can you tell me about your GGgrandfather? Did he marry Sarah in Northern WV (excuse my ignorance - but where is that exactly?) or did he marry her in Scotland? That's quite an unusual surname she had! Any other details would be welcome. I have an internet friend from Chicago - Bobbie Hall, whose husband's family come from the same area as mine, but as yet we haven't been able to tie in our two trees. I'm descendent from John Hall, Jr., & Letitia (Young) Hall. His father was John Hall, Sr., supposedly born in Ireland, abt 1728. He died on one of his son's farm, David Hall, in Armstrong, PA. John Hall, Jr., may have been born in Virginia, but the rest of his siblings seem to have been born in Allegheny, PA.

I'm looking to confirm his arrival from Ireland to the US.

My father has told me that our Hall family (my maiden name) came from Scotland, but I do not have them traced back that far yet. I am back to my great-great-grandfather, John Hall, who was born about 1806; all I know about him is that he married Sarah Yoho and they lived in Northern WV for awhile. Do you have information on the Halls in Scotland? Would deeply appreciate any assistance you might be able to offer.

I too have been searching for the Hall family in Accomack .
My grandfather was born there, Wayland Edward Hall or at least in that area. My great grandfather is listed in the cesus there and I know he and my great grandmother lived in Tibitha,
Virginia. Edward S Hall . I have a real tough time before that.

Accomack is in the Eastern Shore of VA and Crisfield
is on the Eastern Shore of MD. This site has a lot

My ggg grandparents Gilbert and Rachel (Chandler) Hall were married in Accomack Co. in 1802 and left for KY in abt 1814 and settled in SE IN in 1815.

How do you know your ancestors were Scotch Irish? A researcher from Accomack told me that St. George's Parish in Accomack Co was predominantly Methodist in the era.

I know that this may sound funny, but after
I told you about this, I went on-line to
visit some Declaration of Independance
sites just to find that there is no Benjamin
J. Hall signature on that document. I guess
it is one of those things where someone gets
the name wrong as it is handed from one to
another. Sorry about that!
I'm sorry, but the Hall connection to my
family is a mystery to me for now, if there
is in fact really a connection. My
grandmother is no longer around to ask.

I know there is a Lyman Hall that signed the
Declaration of Independence (he didn't have
any children). I don't believe I'm from that
line. I'm really just getting started. I know
my g-grandfather, Jackson Hall (not sure if it
his middle name or first name)married Lorra Carey (?)
and they lived in Crisfield Maryland in 1900.
They had several children Earl (sp. Eral), Vesta
(my grandmother), Nellie and Virginia. Any
of these names sound familiar?

My grandmother Lola Ruth Baty has a note in
her records that her husband's (LeRoy Newton
Baty) gr. gr. gr. grandfather was Benjamin J.
Hall who is one of the signers of the Declaration of Independance. I believe that
they would have been from Virginia, as most of the signers were. I am in the process of
tracing my ancestry to him now.
