I've been seeing the correspondence about the Phila. Hallowell's, but haven't seen anyone connected to mine. I am looking for a Charles Hallowell circa 1859, born in Phila. and married to a Sarah (Sally?) A. Fulton. Charles was a (eye?)doctor of some sort. Elderly family members recall him as being either an ophthamalogist or optometrist. Likely the former. Their children were Fulton W. Hallowell (b. Oct 12, 1896, married to Mabel Estelle Brooks) and Frederick F. Hallowell (b. 1895 married to Elsie Mae Brooks). YES, this is a history of two brothers who married two sisters. So, this should surely ring a bell for anyone out there. PLEASE HELP!! I don't have much beyond these people, but I'm willing to share everything I have with you.

Only additional info I have on this family is that the R in Henry R stood for Richardson which was the maiden name of his mother whose first name was supposedly Mary. Mary Richardon's father supposedly was a William Richardson. Henrietta's maiden name may have been Abbott and her mother's maiden name may have been Biddle. I also have not been able to connect this Hallowell family to any of the others from the Philadelphia area.
