I didn't post the original message; however I am trying to research my father's family (Hamp). Do you know where I can obtain a copy of the Hamp Book? My mother, Elisabeth Spooner
Hamp had a copy; it disappeared when my father died 09/11/1987.

Both of George's parents died in England. Father died in Northampton and mother in Rushden, Northamptonshire, England. I have a second spouse listed for George's mother, but not for his father.

Harry John Hamp

I am looking for any information concerning my grandfather Harry. He married Catheryn Reed or Reid and had 3 kids: Harry John Hamp JR, Dorothy, and Catherine who is my mother, her name was changed to Judith Powell when she was adopted. While grandpa was in the war the mother put all 3 kids up for adoption. Grandpa's other wives were Mary Jane Szarko, and Elizabeth Wissenger. I am working on the family tree that Mary did and think some of the information may be wrong.

Brian,

as it tirns out most of the people with that side of the family is kinda tight lips.. When he moved to La for his music career the communications here kinda fell apart. I will however ask my mom to as her uncle if he know anymore information aobut his johns second wife and daughter. i was doing some reesarch on him and his music also and found your post. I can give you the information about him to the extnet i know.. his brothers/ half and full and father, and so forth i hav enot been able to keep up the subscription here so i can look at all the leaves information. William Hamp Sr.? if that is the one you wrote to then you will be waiting a long time since he passed few years back. Ricahrd Hamp is the only surving nephew from Oscar and Laura hamp. My grandmother was the oldest child fo them Lois. Are you a relative of johnny and ruth?

Hi Rob, I think this might be the same John Hamp. I recently wrote to , I believe, a William Hamp in PA but I did not hear back from him. I am trying to find information on when John and Ruth married. Also information on Johnnys' daughter Dorothy. I have a huge scrapbook on Johnny that his wife Ruthie kept which covers the 1920s' to the 1940s. It covers his music career but not much of his private life.I look forward to hearing more from you. hello i have information about a John E. Hamp born in PA in 1894. What kind of informatin do you have and or need? He is the son of Emanuel Hamp and his second wife with the maiden name of fuller, and a full brother Oscar Christian Hamp born in 1892, and a half brother Harry Fuller. Oscar is my great grandfather... I know John had somethign to do with big band music.. but that is about all i got.. please respond and hopefully this is the same guy and we can move on together
