My grandmother was a Margaret Hannah d. of an Adam Hannah and Margaret Campbell....

Margaret Hannah married a George McQuilken around 1913 in Glasgow.....she died in 1922 in Glasgow, I would love to find out any info on Margaret, I believe she had a sister Mary Hannah, who married a man MacKinnon who was from Skye

Unfortunately the son died some years ago. He was married but had no children. The daughter married and has 2 grown up children.

Margaret Hannah and George McQuilken are my grandparents.
I was aware of Alexander, as my father kept in touch with him. Alexander's son do you have an idea when he died? I had contact with him, his name was Campbell McQuilken, and was living in Bridge of Weir at the time.

I was at Campbell's funeral and I'm trying to remember when it was my son was graduating the same day so it was quite a dash from one to the other. I/ll say 2001 at the moment until my son gets back from London and can ask him when he graduated. Did you know that he died of heart trouble. He had been in the process of divorcing his wife Loris. His sister is still alive and lives very near to me. I have given the information that I got about her father from your messages to her. You see we always believed that young Alec was Alexander Russell's brother not his cousin. I knew young Alec and his wife Helen and got on great with them both. My husband was Helen's favourite nephew.

Hi,

You are probably correct saying 2001 as I was in
Scotland in 2001 when Campbell called here, to my
home in Canada, just at the end of my holiday....when I returned home I tried contacting
him but could never get anyone, did get a couple of emails from him finally but not long after that all emails just went
unanswered....you can contact me at cjjoud@rogers.com
if you wish.....heart troubles are a problem!!!
