I am looking for my dad's family. My fathers name is Thomas Hannah (1938-1991), his parents were Thomas and Grace (nee Clark). My dad's aunts on his dad's side were Jean Hannah (never married)and Mary Brown. I would really love to reconnect.

Ireland. He lived in Bastard, Leeds Co, Ont. Canada.
I have found him and his brothers and a sister. No parents

He was living at the time with a son John born 1828 Ireland
a Daughter Martha Dant (my 4th Great Grandmother) and three of her children. Alexander, John and Elizabeth.

I am trying to find Alexander's wife and parents if possible. and the family with my 4th great grandmother, Martha Hannah listed as a Hannah/Hanna

If you just type Hannah, Dastard, Leeds Co. Ont. Ca., they all come up along with their families.

My grandfather is a brother to Fred Hannah. Their parents were Benjamin & Hannah Elizabeth Sampson Hannah. I can't find info on them except they were born in Berks Co., PA. I would appreciate info on the parents. Thank You.

Fred Hannah was born in 1872. He had a store in Miller Co, MO.

Hello Grant,
My GGGRandmother was Catherine Hannah, she married James Mulholland abt. 1800. They were in Antrim Ireland. There was supposidly quite a few Hannahs at that time in the area.
If that helps.
Her children came to US abt 1825 or so. Settled in Randolph Co. Ill.

Sorry I din't get back with you, for so long; I didn't realize you had answered my call for help, until just now, when I was going through back entries on the message board.

There were many spellings of the surname Hannah (Hanna, Hannay, Hanney) and most of them come from the original spelling, Hannay.

My problem is, I can get to my 4X Great Grandfatehr, John Hannah, b. 1795, in Virgina, but, unforunately, I am unable to find who his father and mother were. This is where I draw a blank.

Thak you for you assistance, just the same. If I find anything new, I will post it.

Missouri Locke connection with Hannahs

Looking for a connection between the John Locke or Charles Locke families and Hannah families in Missouri. Have several photos dating from early 1900 with writing on back identifying the individuals as "cousins of Charles Locke", my ggrandfather. Also have been told that John Locke spent his last years living with a Hannah. He died in 1895 in Pike County. Anyone know of this connection?

Bob was employed at General Electric Co. for over 40 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of East Greene Presbyterian Church and the G. E. Quarter Century Club. Bob was a veteran of the U. I may be one of your cousins. I am not sure. I descended from James Hannah b abt 1812 in Alabama, md Mary ? b abt 1814 TN.

James Hannah's family lived in Johnson Co Illinois in 1850 and Massac Co Illinois in 1860.

They had many children including Joseph C, Henry, Sarah, Louis Sampson, Biddy, Mary J.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking for any info on a James Hannah b abt 1812 in Alabama. He married Mary ? b abt 1814 in Tenn. They lived in Massac Co Illinois in the 1860s and Jackson Co Illinois in the 1850s. I may have found the family in Talledega, AL in 1840. Some of their childrens' names include Sampson, Sarah, Henry, Biddy, and Joseph C.

Living next door to them in Jackson Co, Ill in 1850 was a Richard Hannah who was b abt 1794 in VA.

Does anyone have any information on these Hannahs?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. The Hannah's came for many different places in Scotland and carry the Tratan of Hannay of Sorbie Tower.
Do you have any information as to the father of John Hannah; b: ca 1795 in Virginia?

Hi there. This is Deb Glantz Hanna. I have all of my father-in-laws info on Hannas(h) on line. We do not have an AJ but I'll investigate a bit.....there are 2 AJs in the 1860 census..both in PA, one born in Ohio, one born in PA...AJ Hannah in Lancaster with wife MAry and children and Andrew J. Hannah b. Ohio, living in Allegheny Co, north Fayette...with his children listed...he is 44! Then there is A J Hannah in 1870census. living in MO, a stonecutter, 30 years old...all by himself.....it's a puzzle. Have yuo treid any PA. genealogy sites? PA history or PA roots...they are fantastic.

Hello my great grandmother was Florence Evaline Hall(Hannah) I only have a picture of her with her husband John Hall, and her 2 sons William George Hall, and my grandfather Howard Melvin Hall. They can be found on the 1900 U.S. census of North Dakota in the township of linden, Cavalier county along with her parents Robert and Sophia Hannah (See pages 044-11b and 044-05a) John and Evaline and her brother William Hannah moved to Reford Saskatchewan in 1905 after Robert and Sophia passed away.
