Looking for any info on Gordon and Anna Hart

They are buried in Mitchell Cemetery, Melbourne
Harrison County, Missouri, and had at least two infant daughters that died in 1869 and 1874.

I inherited a portrait (oil) of "Mary Hart" from my mother's estate. She is seated, sports an Empress Eugenie hairdo which should date the piece to ca. 1830-1840? I can't find a signature but there is a tag on the back of the frame showing the frame shop in Philadelphia that framed the portrait. Included with the portrait is a pair of "stockings" with the initials "CH" stitched in the upper hem. My mom told me that she was told that Mary attended Andrew Jackson's inauguration??? I have never been able to prove any of this but Mary appears to be in her early twenties or late teens and has no rings. She was someone's daughter but I can't pin this down.

Do you have access to ancestry? His birth certificate is listed and his parents are Carmi Olin Hart and Mabel Chauder sp?

According to this Olin E Hart's middle name is Ellis.

Carmi has 3 census records and two draft records available. In 1900 he is listed as 13 living with another family. He was born in Vermont as well.

It is very possible that Carmi is buried here, along with his possible father Frank, but that will need a lot more research.

There are only a very few Olin's listed on findagrave.com, and the other two possible Olin's would be in Kansas and Washington.

I want to learn more about both sides of my family. I know almost about the Hsrt side which is my dad's side. His name is Tom Hart and he had a brother named John. Theie dad was OLin Hart but died when they were children. I know this is not much info but if you may know anything please post something. thanks for your help, and GOD Bless.
Also my dad is a Vietnam vet and was born in the 1940's.

Hi, I am somehow related to the Hart's of Hunt county, I just can't find the missing link yet. My Hart is "Gordon Hart" who, according to the 1870 census had and least 4 sons, John, Wilson, Josiah, and Samuel. Josiah was born about 1867. Gordon might not be the real name, because he hasn't officially been found. The mother of the 4 boys was listed without husband so Gordon is presumed dead in 1870. Samuel was born in 1868/1869. Most of the Harts from that period seem to have descended from Charles or John Hart.

I am looking for any information about the ancestors of John Hart, born abt. 1725, location unknown, married a "Barbara," no maiden name listed. Their children were born in Pennsylvania. Family stories say this line immigrated from Ireland. I've tracked back to John Hart, listed as the father of Henry Jackson Hart, but have been unable to find any additional information. My granfather is very ill and I'm trying very hard to identify the family back to the other side of the pond for him. Thank you for any infomration you may share!

Page 67 of the book "News and Gossip of Old Yass" ....

"9.3.1852 Lazarus Hart was drowned in the Murrumbidgee River in November 1851. He was a son of Asher Hart of Castlereagh Street Sydney, and brother of Henry Hart of Royal Hotel, Yass, and a brother of Goodman Hart a publican in the Goulburn district and later on in the Turon Goldfields. ... Henry Hart claimed Lazarus Hart's property ...."

Yes, you're right, it does give further thought. I suppose the hunt keeps going. Henry seems to have vanished between getting married and Elizabeth giving birth. So, that's where I'll start. He eludes me.

Thank you for your email Mary. I did read this transcript, and my only doubt with this Henry, is that the one I'm hunting allegedly died the same year he was married and his wife (Elizabeth Redknap) became pregnant. The sons name was Frederick. Elizabeth went on to have many more children with a man by the name of Tetley.

However, in the instance this he didn't die, this is as good a lead as any. Possibly worth me exploring further, and I will.

Unfortunately, no. The only information on the marriage certificate are their names, the Parish (which is where all the information came from) and the minister. I'm still waiting on further Parish information but it doesn't look promising.

I just had a quick look at the census returns, BMD's and passenger lists for you and have come up with the following:

Ada Beatrice Hart was born Dec 1895, Milton (Kent), Volume 2s, page 827.

Her parents were Arthur Andrew Hart (born 1856) and Elizabeth Payne (born 1863). They married in Dec 1880, Faversham, volume 2a, page 1385.

Arthur was 44 when he died in Mar 1900, Milton, volume 2a page 766 and his widow Elizabeth remarried a year later to Alfred John Huxted or Hucksted.

Ada and her brother Henry Ernest Hart arrived in New York aboard the S.S. Majestic on 27 May 1909.

Julendar married Frederick William (Hart) Leach Tetley.
There is No Marriage Registered - for Anderson/Hart - NSW Births Deaths & Marriages between 1849-1873 inclusive. No Marriage registered under surname - Tetley - 1849 -
1873 inclusive.

Marriage registration for Frederick W. Hartleach and Julendar J. Anderson in Braidwood District in 1866 - Marriage registered NSW Births Deaths & Marriages Registration No: 1632/1866.

I have further information if required.

Marion was my maternal grandmother. She passed away at Lawnwood Regional Hospital in Ft. Pierce where we moved her to from Okeechobee in 1992...
Olympia Brown from Denmark my GGrandma...Shack Brown my GGGranfather! My mother will not share her info with me simply because I wasn't interested a few years back!

My name is Richard Hart too, and Avery Hart of Tenants Harbor, Maine is my 5th Greatgrandfather. I have a sense that we are cousins. I am greatful to have discovered your posting while doing my own Ancestry.com adventure. At first, I could find out little about Avery, especially who is parents were and where he came from in England.

Harts from KY, IL and MO?

I am Benjamin, son of Bradley, son of Milton Myron out of MO, son of Dewey Delmond from MO, son of Andrew Jackson of IL, son of John Alexander from KY.
I am unable to verify Andrew Jacksons name or basically any other information and John Alexander is a guess. Any help at all would be appreciated.

I am unable to find any parental info on Ancestry for Dewey as well. According to word of mouth Andrew Jackson married Mary Jane Snyder, both from Illinois.

I located an obituary this person was a Marion Gates Davis born 12/29/1905 and died 09/18/1994. Her parents were Olympia and Leroy Gates, Sr. She died in Fort Pierce, Fla. This may be just a coincidence that the dates and name coincides. Let me know if you think this may be a lead for you and I will send a copy of the obituary.

Her name was Marion Gates Davis 1909-1994.
