Thanks. Maybe those years of Latin in high school will come in handy -- if only I can remember!
For St. Michael records, write to Holy Family Church at 3006 W 8th St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45205. Write the names of your people and the years that they would have been married, died or baptized. Mail to them and include e-mail and address. The phone number is 513-921-7527 if you need to talk with someone. Records are in Latin.

John "Havink" Having

Looking for information on where emigrated. Cincinnati, Ohio city directories show as under names of John Havink and Having. He was married to Johanna Krueders and had sons Willia, John and George and daughter Louisa. I believe he could have been Dutch as at the same time living in Cincinnati was a George Havink from Holland.

Joseph L Having

I am trying to find the ancestors of my grandfather
Joseph L. Having. He lived in Kenton County
Kentucky. He was born Oct. 7, 1922 and died
Jan. 02, 1964. He was married to Mary
Elizabeth Hanekamp. She was born July 8, 1922
and died Nov. 2 1965. He also had a twin
brother who died in WWII. His mother's
name was Christine Willen. I do not know his
father's name or anyone beyond him. His father
was supposed to have come to the U.S. during
WWI. If you have any information you can email
me at melane@seidata.com.
Thanks
Melissa Lane

HAVING, 1890, Cincinnati

I would like to find some information about
William HAVING and Elizabeth JANSEN, who
married in the Cincinnati area of Hamilton
County, Ohio around 1890.

They were probably parishioners of St. Michael's
Church in the 1890s and early 1900s. At the
time, I believe they lived, with their children
(including Alma HAVING) and perhaps other
relatives, in the area of Price Hill now occupied
by Mt. Echo Park.

I am guessing that William and Elizabeth were
born around the 1860s, quite possibly in
Hamilton County. Elizabeth's mother was
Catherine JANSEN (nee von BERGER), who was
born in Germany.
