I am a descendant of a Gilbert HAY from Virginia who moved in steps through North Carolina, South Carolina and British West Florida (Mobile) to Louisiana, arriving there in 1778. I have only a couple of items on him for the time he was in South Carolina.

Would you mind posting the item mentioned in the quote above?
