Helping a friend trace William, we have found him on the 1911 census!!

I tried to contact you a couple of years ago through ancestry without success, so I'm giving it another go.

I have been helping a friend with his family tree and your description of William Hayler sounds as if it maybe the same William Hayler he is trying to find.He has also had trouble finding him on the censuses up to 1901.

He is not a member of ancestry but I could put you in touch with him if you wish.

Haghegger Schmiedemann Gerlach Hayler

Scrapbook begun by Lillie HABHEGGER of Watertown, WI about 1890's.
Contains her marriage license to Louis SCHMIEDEMANN in San Diego, CA 1 Feb 1911....also contains swatches from wedding dresses, photos, post cards, letters, etc. This couple had two daughters: Arlene who married Arch GERLACH, and Louise Julia who married Richard Arthur HAYLER.
Would like to see this scrapbook in the hands of Lillie's descendants.

James Hayler, famer, Surrey, possibly Sussex

I am looking for information on and the ancestors of James Hayler, who was a farmer in Leigh, Surrey, husband to Jane Lucas, and father to, among others, Emma Elizabeth Hayler, born about 1858. Emma and her brother Joseph were in the Reigate workhouse in 1851, so I presume that their father James and their mother were dead or otherside incapable of looking after the family at this time.

A James Hayler was sentenced to 7 years transportation in 1850. Another James Hayler died in Reigate in 1847. Either of these might have been the father. If anyone can add to this information, I'd be grateful.

Hayler family

HI, I am trying to find info on William Hayler the only thing I have to go on is that he was burried in Branksome, Dorset in 1937 and was in his 80s'.The family is thought to have lived in this area but I cannot find him in any of the censuses.Any info at all would be great.

I cant be much help to you here but my gtgtgt was Eliza Hayler born1840/1 and her father Was a William Hayler of Hollington Sussex There could be a tie in there. good luck

Looking for Anna Hayler in Toledo Ohio m. Joseph Potts. She is daughter (b. 1848 in US) of Henry Hayler b. 1810 in Sussex, England.

Chiefly interested in tracing her descendants and Potts connection. Any info?

Charles Hayler married Elizabeth Parker in 1867 in Ringmer, Sussex. They had 5 children:

My Herbert Hayler wasn't born until 1903 - Petersfield, Hants.
Yes, I have used the 1901 census website quite alot, and have found it fascinating - frustrating as well!!

Thanks for your reply. It was worth a try - the name just jumped out from your message as I was browsing. The Herbert Hayler I am looking for (I suspect) was living in the Norwich area around 1921-22. The baby's mother was a cook in service.

I have looked up the 1901 census and found 7 Herbert Haylers - is yours one of them do you know? (you probably already know this but you can search names, ages, birthplaces for free on the 1901 website).

I don't think my Herbert Hayler is the one you are looking for - he was a resident in Petersfield (or surrounding villages) until the early 30's, when he moved to Fulham and married Annie Rose Draper.

I am looking for information about a Herbert Hayler. He was the father of Ellen Hayler Riches, born in 1922 in Streatham, London. He and the baby's mother were not married, and Ellen was adopted out from the Mission of Hope, Croydon, in 1923.

Thank you for getting in touch about Haylers of Hampshire. I am looking for further back - grandparents living in Petersfield from 1900 - Edwin and Alice Hayler.

I don't think the families are related.

I am looking for any Haylers in the area of Petersfield, Hants UK. My husband,s father was born in the area and had several brothers and sisters. His name was Herbert Hayler and he married Rose and had one son Herbert Ronald (known as Ron). Herbert Snr moved to London in the 30's but kept in touch with both his sisters who lived in Petersfield - he also had a brother Ted at Emsworth; another brother known as "Jumbo".
Any information please.

i have family down in aldershit and farnborough. My grandad Arthur and sons daughters e.t.c. could be a link but i dont konw.
