My original message was under a different user name in 2002. I've found a lot of information in census records since and have made trips to southern Ohio to find more information. I have a lead on where Anthony may be buried, but it doesn't look credible. I've found many of the grave sites of my ancestors and I'm surprised that Anthony and Abrahams have not been found. I plan to look again this summer. I'm also looking for additional info on Nancy and Julia's parents. Do you have any of this info?

4 October 1945 The People’s Defender
Funeral Services For Soldier Son
No More Clues Of Mysterious Death Are Found
Military authorities and Cincinnati police are investigating the death of the body of Sergeant Andrew Hazelbaker, of Blue Creek, Ohio, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hazelbaker, well known residents of that vicinity.
The body was found on the banks of the Licking river in Newport, Ky., Tuesday night. The body was found a short distance from where an automobile had crashed into the abutment of a bridge.
The car had been stolen the night before from a parking lot in Cincinnati and the necktie of the soldier was found in the car.
Officials stated that the papers in the clothing of the soldier indicated that he was enroute to his home in Blue Creek from Camp Atterbury, Ind., for a 45-day rest furlough.
Dr. Leo Sauter, of Campbell county, stated that the soldier had been dead for more than a week.
Wednesday his parents went to Cincinnati to help the police in their search and it is believed that the soldier had been kidnapped by vandals and robbed.
The body arrived Friday at Peebles and was removed to the William Lafferty funeral home and services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Moore’s Chapel with Rev. W. E. Mills in charge and burial made in the church cemetery under the direction of William Lafferty.
I get down to southern Ohio about twice a year with my dad, Arnold Hazelbaker, who will be 92 in December and still loves to go down there and visit the few cousins that he has left. Most are gone now. His line is Arnold/Alva/Franklin/George/Abraham/Peter. I believe that the George in my line and the Anthony in your line were brothers. I would appreciate hearing from you at "jellofoley@hotmail.com" Maybe I have some info you can use and vice-versa. Thanks.
Jill

Hi James,
I have visited the Hazelbaker cemetery several times and have lots of pics and info if you would like to e-mail me at jellofoley@hotmail.com. Most of the graves in that cemetery were from Andrew Jackson "Jack" Hazelbaker's family. He and Minerva had lots of children and most of them are buried there. Let me know if I can be of help.
Jill
P.S. The cemetery is in Blue Creek, just down the road from Lynx where my grandmother and grandfather (Alva and Stella "Scott") used to live. I have cousins who still live in Blue Creek and also Lynx.

Re: Margaret Hazelbaker Ralstin

I have Margaret Hazelbaker Ralston/Ralstin, b. 1838 in Adams County, Ohio and d. 1918 in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George and Ann (Montgomery) Hazelbaker. She married William James Ralstin in 1856 and had Henry, Albert, Mary, Robert, James, Martha, Berneice, and George. I have census sources for this family. Margaret was a half-sister to my ggf Franklin Pierce Hazelbaker. I have been in touch with someone descended from her and they kindly shared a photo of her. If you are interested, I can put you in touch with this person. Margaret's father, George, was son of Abraham, who was son of Peter. You mentioned Henry and Daniel in your posting, but this Margaret isn't descended from the Daniel line. One thing you mentioned interested me. You referred to Daniel and the Indian woman...Daniel married a woman named Mary Ann Redpath, but I have never heard her referred to as an Indian woman. Maybe she is not the person you were referring to. I have more Hazelbaker info, so if I can be of any help to you, just let me know. Would love to know what you have heard about the "Indian woman".
