Rebecca Hearing

Looking for the parents of Rebecca Hearing born February 1822 in Perry Co. Ohio. She married Ephraim Williams September 1839 in Perry Co. Ohio. In 1856 Ephraim and Rebecca move to Richland Co. WI. 1830 census list a David Herring living in Perry Co. with a daughter 5 to 10 years old, this would be the right age for Rebecca. Benjamin Williams, believed to be Ephraim's father is listed two lines above David Herring in the 1830 census. But no David in the 1840 census, possibly moved west. In the 1900 census Rebecca listed her father born in Pennsylvania, and mother born in Ohio. I believe that David is the son of John Adam Hearing enumerated in the Perry Co. Ohio 1820 as Hearing, 1830 Herring, 1840 as Herring, 1850 as Herran.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Bill

Any help greatly appreciated.
Bill
I have been off line for months..just got back on - checked this message board to find your great messages on Emma! My great grandparents were John Hearing and Laura Jane Fox....John was the son of Hiram.....I have Emma's birth as 1880..married 13 Aprill, 1898 in Enterprise, OR...William Lambert. I do have the names of Hiram Hearings and Elizabeth Jane Hollands 17 children (I think!)...but have many holes in the vitals on them. I would love sharing with you. I recently travelled to Kellogg, Idaho, where I understand HIram died..but he is not listed in the cemetary - perhaps no tombstone? I understandhe was living with a son, who worked in the gold mines? Best regards, Bev

I am able to share limitted info. I have the obituary notice of the following people: Elizabeth Jane Hearing(whom I think was my greatgrandmother)I don't have any dates but she had been born somewhere around 1835-1840. She came to Oregon in 1860. She had seventeen kids. I know where one of the children is buried. Also I have one for a Edward Hearing who ended up in Idaho. The only actual dates I have for him are the fact he went to work at Bunker Hill mines in 1888, retiring in 1935. This man was one of Elizabeth Hearing's kids.If you want, I can fax you a copy,e-mail or regular mail.

Hello Polly, Lois and Joe.

I'm also researching "HEARING" history. My family came to Oregon via MO, OH, PA, maybe England or Germany.

I've heard of this Oklahoma branch of the family, but have not been able to connect them to my branch.

I will research what I have on Cole Martin Hearing if you want.
