Absolutely right; there is quite a strong Heathfield connection in that area. If you manage come across any further details I would would love to see if there is a connection.

My ancestors came from Bethersden, Thomas Heathfield and Amelia?, I do not know Thomas Parents so he could be a descendent of your Thomas

We are tracing the Heathfield family who originated from Willesborough in Kent during the 1700’s.

The oldest family member we have identified is Thomas Heathfield who was born in Willesborough in about 1742.

Since that time subsequent generations have moved away to various other parts of Kent including Smarden, Barham, Canterbury, Walmer, Staplehurst, Birchington and Bethersden.
