Hi Michael - I replied to your e-mail about Carl and Marie back in Dec. 2010. At that time my Ancestry.com membership had lapsed. I have since re-joined and wanted to contact you to see if we have any info of interest to each other. I don't have Carl and Marie - or William - in my file. If you check my 2010 reply you'll see that Adam is my gr-grandfather - born in Germany - and living in Kansas (Marshall Co.) from about 1857 until his death in about 1874. I have no info as to location of his home village in Hesse, Germany. According to census, he was born there in 1820. So far - I've hit a brick wall on him. I do have lots of info about his wafe and their children if you are interested.

Jean

I am seeking any and all information about Oscar Robert Heine, born 13 Oct 1925 in Dunn County, North Dakota. He lived in Beulah and Mandan, North Dakota, worked a variety of jobs including railroad brakeman. He was married several times, including to my mother, Ruth Guenthner Heine, a woman named Jean, another named Pat, and finally one named Violet.

Though Oscar was my father, I never met the man and spoke to him only once or twice. I'm trying to piece together a family history now that I've met some of his family.

Oscar died in 1990 in Center Point, Iowa.

Hi Michael: I am not currently a member of Ancestry.com but plan on re-joining right after Jan 1. Received your message about Heine in Kansas. I've checked my file and don't have any direct info for you I'm afraid. However, my gr-grandfather (Adam Heyne/Heine) came from Germany via Indiana and homesteaded in Kansas in 1860. I know he had a younger brother, Heinrich (b. 1830) in Germany who also lived near him in Marshall Co. Kansas. I don't have any information about his children who may well have been part of your side of the family. I'd love to hear from you if you have any info in this regard. If you think my info on my side of the family would be of any help, I'll be glad to send it to you. For the next few weeks you should reply directly to my e-mail which is richevers@aol.com.
Jean

My Great Grandparents were Mary (Cordero) & Julius Voight. I have plenty of information on Mary but very "little" on Julius. I was told he escaped the war in Germany to come here from Absace Lorraine Germay. I "only" have 2 pictures of him alone, none of him with "any" of his relatives or family. He is buried up at Redlands Hillside Cemetary in Redlands, CA. I go to this cemetary atleast once a year to place flowers on all the family that I have buried there including, "Poppa" Julius & "NaNa" Mary. In fact I did not know his Mothers maiden name was "Heine" so that was very informative to me! PLEASE contact me if you are indeed family of ours! We may be able to find out more information together if so! Thank-You, Lorraine (LuLu)

If you can find where your Heine got on the boat, there will be civil records in that port of his place of origin, often in detail; city, town, village and neighborhood sometimes. Research the ports which were popular in the time period you think he came. Not just German ones. France was popular also. And when you need a break, check out the history of Hessen on Wikipedia just for kicks. Good hunting, cathryn

According to stories told, Gene, once married to Anne Uzzo,(1955?-until death did them part in 1973) was previously married. He may have been living at the time of this first marriage anywhere in Illinois, his birthplace, or New Jersy, or anywhere in the states surrounding those two. I cannot find any archivial documentation, but he also was wont to use a variety of formations of his names, ie GR, of Ray Gene, or Eugene. Plus without knowing the year, state...it is quite a difficult task. I'm wondering who the forst wife was and if they had any children. Thank you!!

Galina Ave. near Empire St and extends
To 555 E Garden Street at the rear. It is modernly equipped for
Roofing applications. This roofing company employs no
Soliciting agents.
I know there is difference in the middle initial but I am sure this is the same person.
WW II Draft Registration Card # 2420
Theodore Willard Heine
Box 194; 1255 S. Galena, Freeport Illinois
Age 50 Date of Birth 10-23-92; Place of Birth Camden, NJ.
name of the person who will always know where you are: Mrs Caroline Heine (Wife)
Signature: Theodore Willard Heine.
There is no employer's name and address on here. I think that was because it was himself. The card was typed. There is no date on this card but for Theo to be 50, it had to be 1942.
If you want to see where he lived give the addy to Mapquest, zoom in and choose the aerial map.
I don't have any information about Frederich in Germany. However, my gr-grandfather, Adam Heyne (Heine) - born in Germany in 1819 came to the US sometime in 1840's with two brothers. I have been told they were Wilhelm and Frederich. Census records show a Frederich closely matching your birthdate in Allen County Indiana. My gr-grandfather was married in 1851 in Fort Wayne (Allen Co.) and later migrated to Kansas. The Affidavit supporting his land patent was signed by his brother, Frederich. I know this isn't much - but perhaps it's a lead. NOTE: I have also searched long and hard for the town/village in Germany from where they came - to no avail. I would love to hear from you if you think there might be a connection here.

I am looking for any information on Frederich Heine b 29 Jan 1820. He emigrated from Germany through Bremen in 1840. Also shown on the same record is his future son-in-law Wilhelm Ohm from Frille. Thus, I think he may be from the area near Lahde / Frille or Minden, Germany.

Despite researching the surrounding area I have been unable to find him.

If anyone has any information or suggestions on other places to look, I would appreciate it very much.
Could be...I have not been able to find info for my Frederick Heine before 1900. I have info stating he came to the U.S. around 1881. I know he was married before marrying me great grandmother, so I assume his first wife died. He had several children from his first wife (I don't have any information on her). Those children were Emma (born approx. 1887), George (born approx. 1889), Mary, Lizzie and Amanda (all born between 1890-1894). Then in 1898 or 1899 he was with my great grandmaother because he had a daughter with her and then in 1900 a son. If any of these names sound familiar, I would be interested.

Re: Andalia Hudson & John Lewis Deible

John Lewis Deible married Andalia (Anna) Hudson in Blanchester, Clinton Co. OH on 13 July 1886.

I have census information for most of this Deible family from 1850 through 1930. John's sister Sarah married Thomas S. Mullenix and had at least 4 children that I know of. She then married John Cast, they had no children and she died in Darke Co OH.

His sister's Mary Elizabeth and Cornelia both married Smith men (Mary E. to Oren Smith and Cornelia to David M. Smith), but I have no other info on them.

John's parents were John Deible and Mary Elizabeth Baldwin. Andalia's parents were George W. Hudson and Rachel Hammer.

Lori

Prayerbook of ADELINE HEINE 1900-1992, dau of Ferdinand and Wilhelmina HEINE of St. Louis, MO

I bought a small Lutheran prayerbook stamped in gold with the name ADELINE HEINE. The SSDI says that Adeline was born 14 June 1900 and died July 1992 in St. Louis, MO.

There is also a note inside written in 1992 by Joanne that talks about Katherine Hagemeier Knarr.

The 1920 Census says that the Ferdinand Heine family lived at 1300 Montgomery Street. Ferdinand b. 1867 did odd jobs, Wilhelmina b. 1871, son Albert, age 24, auto repair, dau Bertha, age 21, no occupation, and Adeline, age 19, clerical work at the Fur Exchange.

I would like to connect this prayerbook with a family member or family researcher. Please contact me if you have an interest in this.

Kathy Wieland in St. Louis, MO
Kathy@familywesearch.com
