some further info heninoriginated from n.w. france there is a town with henin in the name. some left that area in 1650; to 1750,s because of religous persicution , they were protestant, and northern ireland was a haven foe them because of all the presbyt., from scotland in ireland . the french also brought the linen trade to ireland. please relply. dale

i beleive henin and hennen from greene county are the same all originaly from normandy some came thru northern ireland protestant faith.

the name henin shows up in my family from ireland then changed to heenan, earliest henin born 1775 drumca county down northern ireland. or 1757same place drumca any ideas or comments dale heenan.

my name is heenan,i am from county down .various speelings over the years,henin, henan, hennan heenan latestspeeling. the oldest henin i found was david and hugh henin born 1775?clough,county down. northern ireland we have no idea were they came from for sure befor that.some people think scotland but i cannot find any connection that way they are presbt. can you help out lote of henins in prussia lds records.

when researching my family name i find old spellings of [henin] [hennan] some from ireland were my grand father came from , and also interesting enough , prussia. any thoughts were name henin originated from

my family in down northern ireland in the 1700s-early 1800s, sometimes spelt there name as henin but since then it has been hennan heenan and henan,probably because of poor reading and writing?? just a guess.!!!! does this help please reply !!! i live and farm in canada as do most of my relatives in ireland near belfast.
