I am looking for information on William Hennessee who lived in Chile at some point in his life. My great grandfather's sister Mae Deutschmann was married to him, and at the time of my great grandfather's death in 1927 she is listed as living in Chile.
I have no information on her or William, so anything would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for an information on Mary Ann Hennessey born in Limerick, Ireland about 1859. She was married to Henry William Beins (b. about 1860 in NY or NJ). The only family we know of were her 2 sisters Margaret (b. 1857 Limerick) and Josephine (born 1876 in NYC). She had other siblings but their names are forgotten. Her mother's maiden name was possibly Frazier (Fraha in irish?).

Mary Ann immigrated to NYC in 1863 at the age of 4 with her family.

Her children were (Herbert Joseph who died at age 19, Thomas who disappeared out West, Molly/William twins who died at age 2, and Hugh Michael Beins my grandfather).

Thanks in advance,

James

DELANEY JUDD, AND EDWARD DELANEY, BORN IN IRELAND IN 1857. THEY ARE EITHER SIBLINGS OR COUSINS.JOSEPHINE AND EDWARD ARE LISTED IN THE WHALEN FAMILY BIBLE.MY INFO HAS SOME WITH THE SAME MOTHER BUT DIFFERENT FATHER OR VICE-VERSA.BUT THEY ARE ALL BURIED WITH ONE ANOTHER e.g. JOSEPHINE WHALEN/ANN HENNESSEY DO YOU HAVE ANY RECORDS THAT SHOW THEIR PARENTS AND WHERE THEY ARE FROM.

Patrick Hennessey married Ann Delaney and they had 5 children - Bridget, Johanna, Thomas, Edward and John. Is that right? I have no dates, just names. Ok... now Edward married Kate (Catherine) Mahoney & they had a son, Edward who then married Irma Grant. They had 3 children (that I know of)- Edward, Ellen and Eileen. Eileen is my birthmother. I know this is kind of a straight line, but I'm getting quite a bit of info about g-grandparents back, but nothing about grandparents down. So the guys you refer to as "Big Ed" & "Little Ed" could be my G-grandfather & grandfather..??

Hi there,

I am glad you found my post helpful. It was a surprise to realize that I have relatives that I wasn't even aware of.

First of all, my father is alive and well, living in North Sydney, Cape Breton. He had a difficult childhood, passed from home to home, but he survived and made a good life for himself and his family. He is married and has four children, myself included.

As for Ann (MacNeil), who is the youngest, she was adopted by the MacDonalds in Glace Bay and had a good life. She is alive and has two children.

My father had regular contact with his mother up until her death. She did remarry late in life to a William Morrison but had no more children.

I will look for some pictures of Nanny Morrison and post them, my dad looked a lot like her. Believe it or not, I often wondered and attempted to find out information about your mother. So I am happy to have made this connection

Thanks

Wow, thank you for replying. I guess this means we are first cousins. I didn't think I would find anymore information on her, my mother never really spoke of her to me. I know she had an old sister who has also passed. Did Katie ever marry are Kevin and Ann still living? Do you have any photos of her that you would be willing to post? Any information would be helpful I am just curious about that side of the family that I have no information about.

Thank you

I have a Margaret J. HENNESSEY, b. abt 1851 (poss. Essex, NY), and died Nov. 11, 1879 Washington, DC. She married a John H. RIGHTER in 1876 in Boston, Mass. Now why or how they came to Boston, I don't have a clue. The Boston City Dir. has them living there in 1878. John was born in PA. in 1948, then moved to DC. I don't know where he met Margaret, but marriage info is in Mass. Archives. One son, Charles H. was born in March 1878 in Boston. Another son, William was born Sept 1879 (loc. unk) and died Nov 5,1879 in Wash. DC. It may be possible that both mother and son died of some fever of the time. Haven't had any luck finding death cert. for either of them. Any ifo you msy have would be appreciated.
Thank you, Jacqui Righter Jacquiba@aol.com

I am looking for information about my maternal grandmother Katie Henessey from Cape Breton Nova Scotia. Katie had 2 children with Michael Mcinnis both girls, Katie and Michael( aka Mickey) were never married and he died before their second child Jean Audrey was born, Jean was raised as a McInnis by Mickey's parents Mary Ann and John McInnis of Glace Bay Nova Scotia. The first daughter may have been called Margaret and raised by another family in the Glace Bay area, at some point in her adult life she lived in the Toronto area as did Jean, both daughters of Mickey and Katie are deceased. Katie may have married and had at least 1 more child a son? Kevin?

I plan on getting DNA testing done soon, just haven't filled up my DNA jar high enough to pay for it yet. :o) My line appears to enter the US through either North or South Carolina somewhere in the 1720s.

From what I've found, my line came to the Carolinas as an indentured servant to a rich British man, then worked his indenture off to receive land from his master. I also found that the Hennessy name as well as the McGuiness name came from Chieftain Aonghusa's tribe who were located on the Aron island of Inishmore in biblical times.

When my DNA jar is full and I get my results, I will be sure to post the results online and attempt to contact those with interest.

thanks,

Jeff Hennesy jhennesy@insightbb.com 812-945-7459

His wife was Ida and they had seven children...however, he disappear sometime in the late 40s' never to be heard from again. No death record has ever surfaced either. I haven't searched out his birth record to see who his parents are but it's a possibility.

Samuel Hennessey born Colchester Essex 1867

Like everyone else I am hitting brick wall in some research as soon as one sees place of birth in Ireland.

I am trying to trace some records which weave back and forth from Ireland to England and Wales and back to Ireland

We know from the census records that Charlotte was born in Kent and we have Kestly, Seven Oaks and Caston as the place of birth on census in 1871, 1881, 1891 so it makes it hard to figure out what the actual place of birth in Kent so we can figure out her maiden name and her family.

So I am looking for her marriage and birth records but her son Samuel Hennessey was born in Colchester Essex in about 1867 so we figure Charlotte's maiden name, date of birth etc maybe on records in Essex as maybe his father Maurice Hennessey

Maurice Hennessey born Ireland circ 1831
married Charlotte Hennessey (dont know maiden) born Kent 1837 not sure where they married to top it off. He was in the army which explains his wonderings and was pensioned off and living in Carnarvonshire in Bangor Barricks in 1871

Kids
Maurice Hennessey born Newcastle Northumberland circa 1863
Maria Hennessey born Ireland circa 1865
Samuel Hennessey born Colchester Essex June 1867
John Hennessey born Beaumaris Anglesy Dec 1869
Louisa Hennessey born Beaumaris Anglsey 1872

We assume that Maurice died between the census of 1871 and 1881 because we found Charlotte now married to a sailor named John Cardy and they lived at 25 Rosemary Lane we found the daughters Maria age 17 living there, son John age 12 and Louisa age 9 still there but could not fine Maurice Junior or Samuel. John Cardy died between 1881 and 1891 but the 1891 Census still shows Charlotte Cardy, Maria Cardy and Louisa Cardy still living at 25 Rosemary Lane. all record past that disappers

I have found Samuel Hennessey again in 1901 in the Cheshire Census with his wife Sarah born in Ireland and his kids living at 30 Edith Road Egremont
Sophia Hennessey born Ireland circa 1889
Mary Hennessey born Ireland circa 1891
Samuel H Hennessey born 31 January 1894 Ballymachan Ireland
Marina Hennessey born circa 1896 Ireland
Sarah Hennessey born circa 1898 Ireland
William Hennessey born circa 1900 Ireland

We know Samuel Hennessey married Sarah J Carby or Cardy and was born in Ireland aroudn 1866

The problem of course is tracing the Ireland periods and find certificates etc.

We can find records in Wales, Chesire etc but the moment we cross to Ireland we cannot find anyting

Anyone can suggest how we might find the records for Maurice Hennessey's birth in 1830's as well as those of his kids ? We are not sure where Maurice and Charolette married either because we dont know her maiden name

Any help or people doing research into these families please feel free to give me a nudge in the right direction
This James Hennessy was my grandfather. He worked for the railroad and in about 1927, he and my grandmother Pearl Grace Bloom divorced, their children Jane, Catherine, James and Eileen were placed in St. Josephs Home for children in Erie, Pa. My grandfather boarded a train and went to Indiana or Illinois, He fathered more children (names unknown) he and the mother of these children never married. He then returned to Johnsonburg, Pa. and lived with his sister Elizabeth Eggler until his death in 1954.
