I am researching the Hensen name from Schleswig-Holstein also. Jurgen born in Hutten, married Maria Tams born in Vogelsang Germany.

They had Johann Detlef Hensen Born 10/19/1872 (my line) who married Pauline Christine Ohms. Johann had sisters Maria and Kathrina, and a brother Jurgen.

I am very interested in sharing. I am researching my family and i can go back to Jurgen Hensen Born in Hutten Germany, not sure of the date (from our Omi) married Maria Tams born in Vogelsang Germany.

They had Johann Detlef Hensen born in Hutten, who married Pauline Christine Ohms born Kurby Germany.

They had Henny, Karola, Erna, Otto, Bruno and Hermann.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Additional Note: Jurgen was born German, but his older sister was born in the same house ( ) is considered Danish. They come from the Schleswig Holstein area. His siter was Maria born around 1862. She later moved to the USA.

Looking for a Mr. ? Henson that married a Mrs ? Wheeler between the years 1860-1880 in Ga or Al. They had at least one child, Robert (Bob) Henson. Mrs. ? Wheeler had a child before marrying Mr Henson, named Benjamin Franklin Wheeler (Frank). Frank's daughter remembered an Uncle Robert (Bob) Henson visiting them when she was a child. Robert may have moved to Texas eventually.Does this family of Henson's ring a bell?

My husband,Johannes Herman Nico Hensen, was born 1959 to Rudolf and Flora Hensen. I know that Rudolf was born from a German father and Indonesian mother and that Flora( nee delacombe) was of Dutch and Indonesian descent. His parent were both born and raised in Indonesia but fled to Holland during the Revolution in Indonesia. Rudolf was the only surviving male to leave Indonesia..he has several sisters , Antionette, Dora, and some that I forget. Very interesting family history. Email me..cafeteome@aol.com Thanks! Vandberg they came to Blue Island, IL in 1847. He died
in 1849 and she remarried to Fritz Boeber in Blue Island,

age 25, with wife Nellie ( AKA) Ella, Minnie, age 24, maiden name (Steven's) and two sons, Edward and William Hensen they later had a daughter.
This family was living with the parents of Nellie Steven's, Frank R. Steven's, age 56, wife Elizabeth M.age 46, and daughter Elizabeth Margaret age 12 according to the 1910 Census on 6 Th. St. in Cincinnati.

Elizabeth Margaret Steven's married Joseph Albert Thompson in 1915 in Cincinnati and lived at 1247 W. 7 Th Street area. They moved to Detroit in 1929. Elizabeth M. died in Detroit in 1939, Joseph Thompson died in 1957.

I recently found out that my great grandfather unknown Hensen was born in the later 1800's in Virginia. His wife was born in Denmark. I know they had a farm. I don't have their names, but their children were Mary Eugene (born in District of Columbia), Georgia May, Daniel, Charles, Ellen, and Carrie (who married a Clark). Mary married Noah Best who was from Georgetown, Montgomery Co., Md., and they raised a family between there and later in Washington, D.C. before she died. The D.C. 1930 census shows them on it. I have a copy. I know Mary's parents were alive when they married abt. 1911. They may be related or not. I've some photos of Mary, but none of her parets or siblings.

I am looking for any information on William H. Henson, born in Spenser Co, IL in 1869 and died in Springfield, MO in the 1940s (either 1941 or 1947).

I am esp. interested in finding out if the William H Henson born on Sept 24 1840 and died March 27 1900 is his father.
I can't seem to prove this link.
If he was not his father, who was?

Also, there was supposed to be a brother Marshall (which children called Uncle Marshall) - maybe a Marshall Jr and Sr.

Does anyone have any insight into these Hensons?
How and when did they go to MO?
They went to Francis County, MO and were in Bonneterre, MO.

I am trying to find information about my maternal grandmother, Mary Euguene Hensen, who married Noah Lee Best. She was born in Washington, D.C., and died around 1944. She had several siblings that she named her children after, sisters Ellen, May, Carrie, and brothers, Daniel, Charles, and George?
She died from brest vcancer, married at age 13. I know she was German/Danish/Dutch heritage, and that her parents were alive at the time of her marriage. She was born on Christmas day around 1905?
