      <title>John Hewet,  b. abt. 1729</title>

      <description>Philadelphia, April 5, 1759:&lt;br&gt;Whereas Ruth, the wife of William Horn, of New-Garden township, Chester County, hath eloped from her said Husband; these are to forewarn all Persons from trusting her on his account, for he will pay no Debts of her contracting from the Date hereof.&lt;br&gt;She is pretty far gone with Child, and went away with one John Hewet, a well-set Man, about 30 years of Age. They took a considerable Quantity of Household goods and Wearing Apparel with them. The man had a Gun, some Powder and Lead. Whoever secures them in any County Goal, and gives Notice to the subscriber, shall have Forty Shillings Reward, and reasonable Charges, paid by&lt;br&gt;WILLIAM HORN&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It is supposed that they will go to some other Country, all Masters of Vessels are forbid to take them on board.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I am not related to this family, I am just passing on this information, which comes from a book titled "Runaway Women, Elopements And Other Miscreant Deeds, As Advertised In The Pennsylvania Gazette - 1728 -1789.
