Hi,
My earlliest ancestor was John Hillier 1783-1863 who died at Lamaline Newfoundland Canada.
Presumably he was from southern England. In an effort to find his origin, I have taken a DNA test and found my family to be haplogroup "G". Here is a data link:

Hopefully, some other Hillier member will get tested and we can see who is closely related.
