My Mother is Caren Louise Will Patton her Father was Donald Parker Will Her mother was Ruth Emma Hobart Will. Ruth's sister was Virginia Louise Hobart Halinar born in 1913.Virginia Louise Holbart married Frank Halinar
As far as I know she had 3 children:
1) Frank Halinar,
2)Richard " Richie" Halinar died at 11 years old,
3)Linda Lousie Holinar. Linda had 2 children by 2 husbans Davis child named Scott and Heddon child named Michael.

Noted your pages on the John Sullivan Hobart family of Portage County, Ohio. I am searching for parents of William Hamilton Hobart who was born between 1833 and 1835 to a Hobart father from NH and to an unknown mother from Ohio.Have searched all the Hobarts who left Coos and Grafton Counties in NH around 1814. And their offspring.

We know William Hamilton went to PA with Luther Hobart and James Patrick Hobart. Later was a shoemaker/bootmaker with Luther's son Calvin. Any ideas as to who William's parents were? Gayl Mulligan Callis, Manchester, NH

Thank you for your kind reply......my mother wrote that Mary Hobart was married to Joseph Chapman son of Joseph and Phoebe Chapman but I cannot find any documentation to verify that.....Here is what I have so far....
Children of Joseph Chapman b.1780 and Phebe Roby Boynton b.1798 were Joseph b.abt 1824, Olive Jane b.17 Aug 1830 and William R Chapman b.1833......I am descendant of Joseph born abt 1824 who married an unknown Mary. Their children were William Wallace b.7 Apr 1857 and Elizabeth Chapman b.abt 1852.....I am descendant of William Wallace Chapman.....Any HOBART information would be greatly appreciated.....Mary

He is a descendant of Samuel Hobart/Hubbard who came from County Cork, Ireland, another descendant of Sir Miles Hobart. You'll find more about him by searching ancestry for samuel hobarte. Someone tacked an "e" on the end and it's difficult to locate sometimes.

Almost all Hobart families come from Sir Miles Hobart who settled in Ireland when the English went over to subdue the Irish. His descendants settled in County Cork in a place called High Mount, which happens to be on the Tipperary border. I've been doing a lot of research lately on the descendants of Miles Hobart and his grandson William Hobart who lived in High Mount. My own gggfather, Alexander Hobart says he came from County Cork.
There are "2" High Mounts, one on the Tipperary side and one of the Cork side, but it is the same family that goes back to the Earls of Buckinghamshire. If you'd like to join forces, send me an email at dianamuir @ plci.us (Take out the spaces.)

John Henry and Almira Hobart

John Henry Hobart was my gr-gr-great grandfather, born in 1829 in New York to Jacob (1805-1871) and Mary (1794-1867) Hobart. He married a woman named Almira but we don't know her maiden name. Likewise, I am uncertain of Mary's maiden name, although I've seen it suggested as Scheuler. While born in New York, they settled in Monroe County, Michigan. If anyone had information about the maiden names of the ladies or knew more about the roots of this branch of Hobarts going futher back than Jacob, I would greatly appreciate the help.

I am looking for details Mary's Harden/Harding ancestry. The line I have is parents: John Harding/Mary LIttlefield, then possibly grandparents John Harding/Hannah unknown, grgrandparents John Harding/Hannah Hurst. The dates and relationships don't seem to work for the last two generations.

I'm putting together my Hobart family line on Heritage.com. I have some pictures on there of Heman Lee Hobart and his son Lewis and Heman's wife with their children. Hi Lea, most posts show the children of Maritn Aubertin and Marguerite Benard to be Martin b 14 Dec 1845, Delima b 27 Dec 1847, Josephine b 5 Jan 1852, Charles b 1754, Georgiana b 1858, Toussaint b 1860. However the there is another, George Aubertin married 3 Jul 1884 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to a Marie Herminie Guindon. Herminie is the 2nd GreatAunt to the person who I am doing research for. The marriage record definitely says that George's parents were Martin Aubertin and Marguerite Benard. George was a resident in Bradford, Vermont. So far I have only the marriage.

My Great Grandfather was a Maurice Toohey who lived most of his life in Syracuse NY, but I can not find any background on him. Could this be the same Maurice Toohey?

Garrett A. Hobart, vice president, died at his home in Paterson, New Jersey, at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. He had been sick a long time and suffered frequently from heart failure, and his strength had been undermined. Mr. Hobart was a noble, generous man. In his official capacity he was a typical presiding officer and deservedly popular and most highly esteemed by all.
