Born 30 Jan 1906 in NY and died Nov. 1966 in NY. Was married at one time to Eva May Hinkley. May not have ever divorced, even though she lived with Daniel Simmons for most of her life and classified herself at his wife. If anyone has any info on him I would love to hear about it.

I am in search of a little help with my husbands family tree. I have been looking for the spouse of Henry Hoffa, born 1807 in Exeter, Berks co., PA. His children were Daniel, my husband's G-grandfather, and Isaac. Both were born in Exeter between 1839 and 1841. Henry was never listed on the census with either child, and when Henry died, he lived in the Lebanon area with a nephew and his family. I am not sure if Henry raised his boys, or if they were raised elsewhere, but they certainly weren't hatched - there was a mother at some point. Any leads to point me in the right direction would be very helpful!

Elizabeth Mader or Martin, Niece to Micheal Mader or Martin married Jacob Hoffa Jr., of the township of Cherry, Sullivan County, PA. My Mader or Martin line has notedd their names in the Derivatives of Surname Mader, Mawder, Marter, Martin.

The Jacob Hoffa line connects with my family in that a niece to my matriarch Sharlotte Mader or Martin Wentz married a Hoffa.

Elizabeth Mader or Martin and husband Jacob Hoffa Jr. were living next door to my family decendants when the Martin families were residing in Cherry, Sullivan County PA, say between 1850 - 1870 timeframe.

I line follows Sharlotte Mader or Martin that married Conrath or Conrad Wentz, January 1, 1850. They went to live with Sharlotte's family, her father Micheal Martin and mother Margretha (Margaret/Margret)Matin. Sharlotte Martin Wentz brother was Valentine Martin. They were all living in Cherry, Sullivan County, PA at the time of their marriage.

As Sharlotte and Conrad Wentz had children, their daughter Mary Wentz would be born in Schuylkill County, PA December 15, 1856.

I am researching Brenner. I have a (First name Johan, I think -son of Johan Jacob Brenner & Agatha Catharina Reith) Frederick Brenner (born 1807) who married a (Pauline) Mary Hoffa (born 1810) in 1832. They are on the 1860 census in Pottsville with a daughter Mary A Brenner (1834), Harriett Brenner (1843), Henry Brenner (1844), Sarah Brenner (1849) & Edward Cartier - don't know who he is (1860).

Our daughter, Dara, has a lot of information on the Hoffa/Haffa lines. She was given all of the information Milton Hoffa had collected over the years before he passed away. She would be happy to help you with anything she can.
There will be a National Hoffa/Haffa Reunion in Baltimore, Maryland the llth, 12th, and 13th of June at the Best Western Inn at Eldridge, Maryland close to the airport. Our daughter Dara, has a lot of information on the Hoffa/Haffa lines. Milton Hoffa gave her all of the information he had before he died. She has 11 books on Hoffas and Haffas.
There is going to be a National Hoffa/Haffa Reunion at Baltimore Maaryland on June 11, 12 and 13th. It has been held every two years for the last 22 years. From what I can figure, you are my 4th cousin once removed. I decend from Jacob Hoffa's son John Franklin Hoffa (John Franklin's grandfather Jacob is your fourth great grandfather i think) - anyways...i was looking for information..i have the hoffa line going back to melchior hoffa who came to america in 1723. i was also looking for information on Catherina (married to Jacob b. 1792) and Sarah Ann Tate (married to Jacob b. 1828) thanks!

Thank you so much for responding. Yes, she is definitely my relative. My great grandfather is Jacob Hornberger, one of Katie's brothers. We have her date of birth as February 7, 1871 though. I am particularly looking for more information on Katie's parents and grandparents. I know her parents are Kate and John Hornberger but I'm looking for the names of their siblings and the names of their parents. Any info relating to this? Also, I would love to have a picture of Katie if one is available. What I found as interesting is that Nathan Riley Haffa was raised by John and Judith Erdman. Jacob Hornberger married Martha Erdman. Martha's parents were Abraham and Mary Troutman Erdman who are buried in Rough and Ready. I wonder if these Erdmans are somehow related. Nathan Riley HAFFA was born on Jan 1 1870 in Rough and Ready, Schuykill, PA. He died on Jan 10 1930 in Ashland, Schuylkill, PA. He was baptized by Rev. D. E. Reed - sponsors John and Judith Erdman and raised by them.
He was in the hotel business in Ashland, Pennsylvania included Locust Mountain House 12th and Center. He has reference number 06/370.

He was married to Katie HORNBERGER (daughter of John HORNBERGER and Kate) on Dec 23 1893 in Ashland, Schuylkill, PA. Katie HORNBERGER was born on Jul 2 1871 in Lavelle, Schuylkill, PA. She died on Apr 14 1921 in Ashland, Schuylkill, PA. Nathan Riley HAFFA and Katie HORNBERGER had the following children:

+3 ii. Irene HAFFA.
+4 iii. Clarence LeRoy HOFFA.
+5 iv. Edith Catharine HAFFA.

Hoffa/Riddle family

I don't know what part of the country you live in or what information you have concerning the Hoffa/Riddle families. Jimmy's mom was born on a farm in Parke County, Indiana. The location is just a few miles from Brazil, which is in Clay County. Jimmy's dad was born in Owen County, which is southeast of Clay County. Both parents are buried in the Cottage Hill Cemetary in Brazil. If you're from this area (I live in Parke County) then everything I just mentioned is old news, however, if it isn't and I can be of some help please let me know.

While researching my Talley line I found Cora Hoffa 1852-1873 buried in an old Nashville TN cemetry. Her name is on the side of C. Adelaid Talley & G W Hendershott headstone. There are also Lindsey family in this lot. The lot next to it has Bailey, Talley, Wilkinson & Lindsey family buried in it. Hope this will be of some help if you are looking for her in TN in 1800s. I just saw the posting that you have on the family history web page, and wanted to e-mail and introduce myslef. My name is Dawn Goodwin, and I am the granddaughter of Francis Margaret Killough and great-granddaughter of Ruth Ellen Hoffa of West Salem, Ill. I do not recall the relationship exactly, but could esily find out. I know that my father was kept by Viola Riddell Hoffa when he was very young (my father is Clyde Steven Goodwin). I would love to talk with you and help you with any information that you do or do not have that I could provide. I am currently living in So. California, but the majority of the family is still in Indiana and Florida, which is where I was born and raised. I have spent time with Gertrude Hoffa in Indiana, and I know that her son has done extensive research tracing the Hoffa family tree. I was searching on-line for my paternal grandfather, as no one seems to know his where abouts. My grandmother Francis Killough passed away in December of 1953, and left my father at the age of 22 months to live with his aunt and uncle (Ester Ellen Killough Goodwin and Luther Goodwin) and noone ever knew where my paternal grandfather, Robert Emmitt Barr, went. After talking to my dad and reading through some family papers, I found that your father was at my grandfathers funeral. John, your grandfather, was nicknamed Jack. As for Sandy, that would be Kenny's daughter or Davids daughter? David also had a daughter named Tammy. Were still working on the rest of the information. Here is a small list of those living in MI...Anne,Henry, Dr. Jeffrey Hoffa, Kathy, Doni, Kenneth, Brian and a Stephen. Hope some of this helps you. Keep in touch.
