Hi, I am trying to find out the family history of Lammechien Hofman. She was born in Schaesberg, Netherlands in 1929. She married a Nicolaas Thomassen and emigrated to Australia in the late 1950's. She died in 1963.

Hofman, John, Hanoverian, ran away from Jeremiah Wadsworth of Hartford. John is age 50, is 6' tall, has black with grey hair, and sore eyes. John was in the British army in America ~ was taken prisoner ~ lived with Col. Beddle in Philadelphia and was exchanged ~ went home and returned to New York in summer of 1785. Reward $10.

I am looking for any information that someone may have in Malden about my Great Grandmother's sister. Her name was Anna Hoffman ( or Hoffmann or similar spelling), she was born in the Russian Empire (Ukraine) and approximately born around 1875 plus or minus 20 years. In the 1920's she was living at the following address 44 Summer Street, Malden, Massachusetts, USA. At this time my family kept in touch with her but later, in 1930's under Stalin's repression, all correspondence with anyone outside of the USSR was forbiden. I now live in the United Kingdom and would like to find out what happened to Anna Hoffman.

Are you still looking for ancestors? I am the son of Dorothy Hofmann Morrison, the grandson of Charlie Hofmann who was the sister of Catherine-Katy-Hofmann Mootz of the Mootz Candies. I have some data on the Hofmann's and Alber but very little on the Mootz side. Charlie and Katy were survivors of the flood in Johnstown. Their father Joseph had died in 1855 before the flood, brother Joseph and sister Mamie died in the flood.

My father, Jan Hofman, was born in Arnhem, Netherlands, 1938. He died in Eindhoven in about 1977. He lived in Hull, England from the age of 19, returning to the Netherlands sometime in the early-mid 1970's. If anyone has any information regarding my father, I would be interested to hear from them. My Hofman was born at sea on the way from Germany to America. I have been unable to find her name among the lists of immigrants and therefore cannot connect her back to ancestors in Germany.

Please let me know if your HOFMAN line connects with Apollonia Hofman who married Johannes George Pfitzer in Kirchly, Germany in 1802. He was from a village near Ansbach in Bavaria.
Apollonia's parents were John Leonhard Hofmann (b Wimmelbach in Bavaria) and Anna Maria Schimlinn (b Gebsattel in Bavaria).

Hello, my grandmothers name was Jantje Hofman, I know my grandfather Fokke Hofman had a brother who emigrated to the USA, I think Californië.
I think the name of her brother was Jelle, in the USA the name was changed to Jim. His wife was called Antje, and they had a son I think, who also visited Holland once. Their children must still live somewhere in te US. I have searched a long time, but I can't find any records who seem familiar. Can anyone help me please? I would like to find this family so we can exchange information about our familie. I'm curious, how do they live, what do they know about their family in Holland?
