Agatha “Aggie” M. Hofmann
Agatha “Aggie” M. Hofmann, age 93,
formerly of Greengarden Boulevard, passed away Friday, November 14, 2008, at Saint Mary’s Home of
Erie. Born in
Meadville, Pa. on September 19, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Frank
Albaugh and Bertha (
Smith)
Albaugh Bennett. Aggie was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, L.I.F.T.S., and the
Leisure Club. Her husband, Frank James “Jim”
Hofmann, to whom she was married 59 years, died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard “Rich” James
Hofmann, and a sister,
Iona McGraw. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen
Baer, husband Kenneth, of Erie; five grandchildren, James
Baer, wife Debbie, of
Erie, Mary Ann
Noel, husband Michael, of
Dover, Del., Mark
Baer, wife Denise, of New
Castle, Pa., Sean
Baer and Maureen
Baer, fiancee
Matt Parker, all of Erie; seven great-grandchildren, Meghan, Kyle, Eric, Marisa and Aaron
Baer, and Danny and Tyler Noel; and a sister,
Pat Michaels, of
Erie. Friends may call Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the
Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend services there Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saint Mary’s Home, 607 East 26th St., 16504, or Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th St., 16508. Condolences to
