      <description>Hello,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I am looking for the Donegal and Holmes family and information on &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Ebenezer and Meribah (Donegal) Holmes &lt;br&gt;Children:&lt;br&gt;"Sally" Sarah Holmes (Holms) b. 22 September 1796 in Albany, NY, d. 7 February 1858, m. 25 March 1816 to Eddy Brown Paine b. 1790, d. 1868.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Eddy Brown Paine is my Great-Great Grandfather.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I found Ebenezer and Meribah (Donegal) Holmes mentioned in the following book.&lt;br&gt;From Cutter's Genealogy of Northern New York Vol I, II, III 1910&lt;br&gt;Holmes Ancestry, 198&lt;br&gt;In ADDENDA AND ERRATA&lt;br&gt;Ebenezer and Meribah (Donegal) Holmes.       <description>Would be interested in exchanging information with Canady Holms/Holmes family.  Can only find him  up to abt 1863.  Malinda Whitaker Holms his wife went to TX with son John and his family.  She died about 1905 in Parker Co. Weatherford, TX.  John and his wife Eliza and son Winfred went on the CA.  Another son William Preston lived in Jackson Co and died in Davidson Co. TN.</description>

Her brother was named&lt;br&gt;Theador Holms born about 1875 in Texas.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In 1893 Ida Holms married ABRAM FLAG JR. who was born about 1871 in Texas.  They were married in Jackson County, TX.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Does anyone know if the Holms and FLAG (FLAGG) families were related to KATE HOWARD born abt 1840 in SC?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Does anyone know if the FLAG (FLAGG) families of &lt;br&gt;Jackson County are related to the DANIELS family of &lt;br&gt;Jackson County?</description>

      <title>Obit: Louise Reese Holms</title>

      <description>Albuquerque Journal - January 14, 2002&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Louise Reese Holms, 94, a resident of Tijeras since 1982, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2002. She is survived by her son, John P. Holms and wife, Karin of Des Moines, IA; daughter, Barbara Gentry and husband, Wilbur of Tijeras; one grandson, John Gentry and wife, Cinamon of Albuquerque; and sister, Glenda Beltz of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pynchon Holms in 1961. Louise met Frank in Lincoln, NE. The couple eloped to be married in Reno, NV on June 27, 1939, and then settled in Sidney, NE in 1943. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1931 with a degree in education and taught in a one-room schoolhouse. She later went to business school in Lincoln, NE and worked for Bankers Life Insurance Co. Upon the death of her husband, she continued running their accounting business until her retirement in 1982. Louise was an accomplished visual artist working in watercolor and clay. She loved music, particularly opera, and sang soprano in the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church choir in Sidney for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Louise will be buried at a later date in Sidney, NE with her husband. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 4301 Bryn Mawr NE, 87107. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Albert Lowell Holms&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Albert Lowell Holms died of natural cause in Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, April 6, 2002, at age 87.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Born Dec. 8, 1914, in Havelock, Neb., Mr. Holms had been a Yolo County resident for six months. He was raised in Nebraska and served in the Army during World War II. According to his family members, "he enjoyed spending time with his family."&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mr. Holms is survived by his wife, Nancy Victoria (Saph) Holms of Clear Creek; daughters, Nancy L. Gilliland and husband Charles of Clear Creek, and Beverly Smothermon of Woodland; grandchildren, Charles "Red" Gilliland and wife Linda of Bend, Ore., John Gilliland and wife Debbie of Cloverdale, Richard "Joe" Gilliland and wife Deanna of Lake Almanor, Sam Smothermon of Rio Linda, Russell Smothermon and wife Laura of Rio Linda, Nancy Seal and husband Robert of Woodland and Kimberly Allen of Mindenhall England; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Helen Holms and nephew, Edward Holms Jr., both of Westmore, N.J.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mr. Holms was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Holms Sr.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Respecting the wishes of Mr. Holms no services are scheduled.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The family requests memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;(Obituary from the "The Daily Democrat," Tuesday, April 16, 2002, (Woodland, Yolo County, California).
