I posted earlier that Anna Lademan was my great Aunt. Although I do have a great Aunt Anna Lademan. The one mentioned in this post is not her. However The Ann Lademan mentioned here is my Great Uncle Robert Lademan's daughter. Possibly name after his sister or mother.

I have gathered quite a bit of information from this line. Please contact me if you are interested in comparing notes. hvnsennt@yahoo.com

Susan

Charlotte F. Hoot Arquette 1922-2010 Ohio

PERRYSBURG: Charlotte F. Hoot Arquette died on the 22nd of July, 2010 at the Manor at Perrysburg, Ohio. She was the second born daughter to Glenn and Eva (Spangler) Hoot on the 4th of July, 1922 in Swanton, Ohio.(Lucas and Fulton Counties, Ohio)

Our family was always proud of the fact that she helped during the struggles of WWII by working in the X-ray department at the Propeller Plant on Alexis Road (currently Power Train).

She married Richard N. Arquette on May 29th, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio.
This union produced three sons, Richard R., Daniel and Gary. Moving to Oregon in the early 1950's, she was involved in her son's education and growth. It was also during this time that she started to lose her hearing and this greatly impacted her life. She did not let that be a barrier to enjoying the things she loved, playing pinochle, being the hostess for endless barbecues, traveling with her husband and sisters-in-law and being with her eight grandchildren.

Shortly after the death of her beloved husband of 50 years, her health deteriorated to the point that she needed to relocate to the Heartland of Perrysburg, then to Kingston of Perrysburg and lastly, the Manor at Perrysburg where she received the best of care by the most loving staff for the past five years.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Overy whom she loved dearly; her great grandson, Clayton Peery; and her husband, Richard.

Charlotte is survived by son, Richard R. (Carol Sue Haslinger) Arquette and their children Eric Arquette and Becky (Keith) Peery; son, Daniel (Virginia Mutchler) Arquette and their children, Michelle, Joseph (Heather), Michael (Cassie), Amy, Timothy (JJ) and Christopher; son, Gary (Kimberly Wiant) Arquette; as well as six great grandchildren, (Joe and Heather) Kelsey and Micah, (Becky and Keith) Caleb and Caden, (Mike and Cassie) Aiden and (Tim and JJ) Hannah.

Family and friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Wednesday, July 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, Ohio with Interment following at Restlawn Cemetery.

Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation, the family asks to consider the Hospice of NW Ohio, the Alzheimer Association or the Humane Society.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.walterfuneralhome.com.

Wood

Courtesy Post Not Related
I have located marriage info on John Lawrence & Margaret Hoot from an Ancram Genealogist. She has advised me she has marriage records for the Germantown Reformed Church (pg. 15) that John Lawrence & Gritjen Huth were married on 12 aug 1810. She advises that Gritjen translates to Margaret. I have also confirmed that John & Margaret lived in So. Egremont, Mass after 1850 and I belive that is where they died. I also believe that Joseph may have remarried after Hannah Cornelia Bain died...to another Hannah Do you have any records that would indicate ths information? I am in contact with several of David Wm. Lawrence g-grandsons.

Hi, do you know who Dolly's mother was?

I am searching for a woman, last name Cunliffe who was likely born in Alberta Canada in 1925. At some point she and her mother moved to British Columbia. She was born out of wedlock.
Her mother was born in England in 1904 and was educated to grade 6.

She had one son, who was put up for adoption, he was born in Vanouver BC in 1942, she then had at least one more girl and I believe 2 more boys and I am not sure, but the paperwork of her first son points toward them being given up for adoption too.(all during the 1940's)

Do you know who this may be? Does it ring any bells with your Dolly's life?

Cheers
Jamie
garciagirl@telus.net

So glad you replied, I will take any info I can get on the Lawrence side. I am first to find anything so am passing on to others in the family. Know your info will be appreciated and shared. What do you have on John Lawrence, were he & Margaret (Hoot) in Egremont, Mass.? Is this where they are buried? I have info from Mary Lawrence (my g-g-grandmother) that there were 8 children, do you have all their birth, death dates? Journal I have mentions an Aunt Roella, do you know who that might have been? My personal email is FBBurnside@aol.com and you can respond there if you wish. I will share whatever I have that would be of interest to you. Not very organized at this point but I have many names and dates.

Believe Margaret Hoot, wife of John Lawrence, mother of Joseph Lawrence may be my great-great-grandmother Mary Lawrence Robinson Green's grandmother. Joseph and wife Hannah (Hanna) are buried in Vedder Church cemetery along with Hannah's Bain parents and grandparents. Info from journal of 1921 trip to NY by my great-grandmother Ruth Robinson Elliott and her mother Mary. Mary had sister Sarah Lawrence who had daughter Sadie (Mrs. Charles Barton)and son Jerry Bathrick. There were 8 Lawrence children. Mary left NY about 1860 for Iowa. 1860 shows her living with Bain grandparents.

Hello Sharon,

The Susannah Hoot I wrote about was buried in Lincoln County, North Carolina. The Hoot branch you are interested in are obviously those who moved West along with, if I'm not mistaken, some Linebergers (-bargers). Families splitting up in Pennsylvania or Maryland and then moving south and west seems to have happened a lot, if my various families are an example. Good luck with your search!

HOOT--STOUT CONNECTION IN TEXAS

Looking for anyone with absolute information on the Stout and Hoot connection in Texas. I'm still searching for myself, and havent found to much yet. I have spoke with a couple of people who claim to have searched this particular line and have almost everyone I have in the lines missing only one child, but the real problem lies with the names of the parents.
I have pictures left to me from my grandparents and family memories of my great grandmothers family. Her name was Olivia "Olie" Stout born of an Eliga E. Stout and Mary Cathryn Hoot. I have a picture of Mary Cathryn, but some are telling me her name is Barbara Cahterine who was married to an Benjamin E. "Lige Stout. The children of B.E Stout and B.C. Stout are the same as my aunts and uncles born from Eliga E. and Mary C. Stout. I'm waiting for a look up on my grandmothers birth certificate to see if it lists her parents. My aunt claims to have been to the cemetery in San Jacinto Co. TX and seen first hand the headstone to Eliga E. Stout. She also says she remembers him to be a full blooded indian, not sure on that, although my grandma claimed to be indian and black dutch.
Please help---ANYONE?
Thanks,
Terri

The only date I have is the birth of their son Joseph, b. 1813 in Gallatin, Columbia Co. NY. I have found Barent Hoot in Gallatin in the 1810 census; and also Joseph Hoot in Livingston, Columbia Co. in the 1810 census. The only other Hoot I have been able to find is Mathias in the 1820 census, Ancram, which became Gallatin.
I expect my Margaret Hoot may have been an aunt to your Marg. Hoot Clark. The Hoot's are elusive and I have yet to determine the father of my Margaret.

He was born in March 1832, in Wayne Co., Oh. and married Magdelena Morey( Gross ?)b.1830 m. before 1852 and married. Phoebe Dunn in 1861. Could Joseph be related to Anna? there are so few of the Hoot family. We think the name is Dutch but have looked into the name Huth, as well. If you have any info which may fit with ours, please contact us. Thank you,
Kind regards, Mary

I am looking for any connection to Anna HOOT Sperlein. Her husband John Sperlein was killed in the 1889 flood. Anna had a son Peter b. 1877 who fought in WWI under the name of Peter Perlein as he was only 15 and had to lie to get in the army. Would love to trade any info.
