My daughter's father is Mark Leigh Horstead. His father is Frank c. Horstead also from London. The family too came from Norfolk. Frank's father was Robert Albert Horstead. Does it connect to you? We are in Canada.

Terry;

I have tried to e-mail you, with no success......

Douglas was not born in 1887, but rather in 1889.

From a 1891 England Census, I finally found his immediate family to be: Father: Alfred J Horstead (age 28 a Glassworks laborer) Mother: Ellen Anne Horstead (age 29 - housewife) Son: Reginald S Horstead (age 3) Son: Douglas Alfred Victor Horstead (age 1)

The same household appears in the 1901 census.

Call me!
EDWARD JAMES HORSTEAD, LONDON

I am searching for ancestors of my great grandfather, Edward James Horstead, born in London St Georges about 1840. I cannot find any earlier mention of him but family legend has it that the Horsteads came from Norfolk and one Edward was involved in the brewing trade.

Appreciate any advice or info.
