hello I've been searching Huerta's since I know little to nothing about my grandfather Miguel Huerta b. 4/19/1919 somewhere in Nuevo Leon Mexico. He lived in crystal city and san antonio & is buried in san antonio, tx. This msg caught my attention because he has a son(my uncle) name Ricardo Huerta. Perhaps he name his son after another relative with same name as families did that regularly. Any info helps. thank you!!

Yessenia,
I noticed your post is 11 years old; nonetheless, if you haven't found the info - I believe your asking about my grandfather. I've traced his "Huerta" line as far back as the middle 1700's but I am stuck. Maybe you can help me as well. You can reach me by email at: daniel.diaz.huerta@gmail.com - Look forward to your response. Happy New Year.
Question about the name Huerta

I am wondering if Huerta is typically a surname? My third great-grandfather named one of his children Huerta (who in turn named one of his sons Huerta, and he, his son). I am wondering if this is possibly an insight into who my grandfather Henry's mother may have been (is is possible that he gave his son his mother's maiden surname?).

Thanks in advance for any response.
