I am looking for any information on the Jackson county ky Huff family. My great great grandmother was Dicy Daisy Huff married to Eligah (called Eli ) Reed.Married in January 1890 in Jackson county ky. Both are buried in the Reed Isaac cemetary in Sand Gap ky.

Did you need a copy of the John N Huff photo? I wasn't aware of any family reunion photo. Did you get any response about it? I do have a tin-type photo of Herman and Nicolas Huff in their late teens/early 20's.

In researching my family history in Knoxville, I keep coming across this man named Robert Huff (~1880-?), who was married to a woman named Lelah. I have found that he was a bank president at one point, and it looks like there is a street and a school named after him. I'm wondering if I could get more information about Robert Huff. Did he have any children? What bank did he run? Why is there a school named after him?

Have you run across anyone by the name of Russell Huff or William Huff in Missouri in 1900. This William Huff is the son of Mollie Pearl Gibson and Russell(?)Huff. William appears on the 1910 census living with his grandparents Samuel V. Gibson and Margaret Ellen Stewart in Simpson County, Johnson, Missouri. William is 13 years old.

Hi,
my mother had mentioned some of the names that seem to be popping up on this thread. Pualus Dirckzen, Sutphin and a few others. I remember she was really into looking into the past family history. Unfortunately being quite young I didn't pay much attention to it and she died rather unexpectedly before I could get a handle on what she was doing. Anyone have any advice on where to start? Catharine Huff & Charles Ritz of Clarion County, Pa.

I am looking for any info on this couple. What I have is Catharine's Maiden name was probably Huff. When she married Charles, she already had a son Abraham Soliday. He was in the oil business as a carpenter building wood oil tanks. He was born in 1835 in Philadelphia, & was supposedly named for his father. I theorize his Father to be Abraham Soliday b 1809 but do not know for sure. It is questionable as to whether Abraham 1809 & Catharine ever married. After Abrahan 1835 was born in Philadelphia his mother married Mr. Ritz in 1835 or 1836 and they had a son David about 1837. They moved to Clarion County, Pa. Richland township. The 1850 Census lists Abraham S Ritz as the name for Abraham Soliday, & in later records his name reverts to Soliday. What I seek is further info on Catherine & Charles that others may have. Problem is that there were 2 or 3 Catherine Ritz in Richland Township at the same time. 1850 census shows her as 34 placing birth around 1816. However 1860 records I do not have. 1 possibility lists a Catharine in Richland Township born in 1809, another 1860 record lists a Catharine in Richland Township born 1799. (no images to confirm if correct Catharine) I look to clarify which is which, confirm Catherine's birth name, year, data, & any other info I can. Parents of Catharine & Charles would be appreciated as well. I suspect Catherane to be of the family that was in the Huffs Church area of Berks county, Pa. in her early years as Abraham Soliday of 1809 was also in that area at the correct time. Please give more information. I do not have a recent Melody Huff in my sights at present time, but might have some of her relatives. Most of the Huffs hovered at some point around KY and TN. Originally they are from the Netherlands, landing in NJ and NY in 1651.

I'm not from GA, but I'm currently living in GA. My grandfather has roots in north GA. Outside of my family I don't know any Huff's. Since moving to GA I have been told by several different people that I look like some Huff's from MS. However, I don't know of anyone relatives that I have in MS.
