William H.Humphrys/Humphries

Looking for any relatives from the family of William H. Humphrys b. 1826 & Mary Jones b. 1848...was in texas in 1900 in Collin Co. Had 5 children together...Charly b.1873, Wm. P b.1881, Claud b. 1885, Rollie b.1888, and Fred b.1891 ( William had 8 with Susan Gentry before Mary.)...
Mary left Willam when he got too old to work...not sure if she took kids or they stayed with him. He was already 65 when Fred was born.
William H. (Humphries) & Susan Gentry were my Great Great Grandfather & Grandmother. I am trying to find what happened to my Great Grandmother, Minerva E. Humphries Waters, their daughter, after 1900.
I know William died in Hopkins Co. in 1908.

Does anyone have any knowledge of Thomas Humphrys born c1822 and married to Eliza Ann Nicholls, Birmingham, 1866.

They had one child before Thomas's death, Kezia Elizabeth Humphrys.

Looking for this Humphreys Family , Newton is the Son of Moses Humphreys and Rebecca Boyd:
Newton Jasper married Hattie McGiness : they had 5 children. Grace L. b. 1881 (m.Paddock) Edna b. 1882(m. Rose) Alfred Roy, b. 1883 Estella, b. 1885 and Evelyn. b. 1886 Grace died in Seattle area and Edna died in Calif. We have lost all contact with this family, would like to correspond. My Mother met this Uncle Newt when she was a child, about 1926.
We think Newton and Hattie may have moved to Canada. ?????????????????

I know very little about Sophia Humphrys but her marriage certificate shows that she was a servant and that her father was Abraham Humphrys, a labourer. I will let you know if I find any relevant connections. Good luck with your search.

Unfortunately I havne't any "Samuels" in my collection of HUMPHRYS yet. In my own experience, the spelling of the surname was a bit hit and miss throughout the 1800s, and my family started out as HUMPHREYS, before dropping the E later on. Sorry I couldnt help, but good luck with your search.

Have been searching for Samuel HUMPHREYS for years and now find his marriage certificate says HUMPHRYS. He was born in Northampton but moved to Smethwick, Staffs after 1845 - don't have his father's name yet but the certificate is coming. Any connection? Cheers

I think I have traced my great great grandfather back to be Isaac Humphys' son. His name was Benjamin and he married an Ann ? and later moved up to Birmingham.They had a son called Frank who married Clara Lily Sanders. They had a daughter called Kathleen in 1911 who was my grandmother.Somewhere along the line the name chaged to Humphries.

I am looking for descendants of Jim and Edith Humphrys (nee Morris) probably in California.
Edith Morris was born in South Australia on 12 Sept 1896 and became a doctor. She married James Humphries/Humphreys/Humphrys who was a US citizen and they moved to the USA probably in the 1920's or 1930's. I have yet to find a marriage for them here in Australia so they may have married in the US. The last person here in Australia to have contact with them had a California address in the 1970's. I am assuming they are both now deceased but am seeking any children or grandchildren who can fill me in on the family. Thanking you all in anticipation.

My 2 x great grandfather, John HUMPHRYS, was born in Madeley, Stafforshire, around 1835 (according to the 1881 census). He married Catherine MURPHY and was living in Chelsea, Middx from at least the early 1860s when the babies starting arriving, although I haven't yet found a record of their marriage (in Chelsea or anywhere else).

If anyone out there knows anything of a Madeley HUMPHRYS family, I'd love to hear from you.
