Hello Jeff, I know you wont remember me I am Augies oldest daughter. I met you a few times when you where about ten or so. It is wonderful tohave found you once again. The Hy's never were a very close knit bunch. Your Dad was my favorite and I loved him dearly. I saw him about 18 months before he died, on a trip to Florida. God knows I miss that ole Marine. Every memioral day a flag is put at a memorial here in norfolk for vets and i still shed a few tears. Youwill be getting a message from leslie crisp, that is my daughter. She is trying to compile a Hy history so any help on manes and dates from Uncle Yutches clan would be helpful. Is your mom stilll alive? If so say hello for me. Ive been married 38 yrs and have 3 kids Dave, Scott and Leslie, and 3 grandsons. Hubby retired Navyand we are in norfolk,va. Your Dad always rzzed me about marrying the Navy. In fact until Russ got to know him he was totally afraid of hem. Do you remember Grandma Hy's delicious doughnuts? Please reply would love totalk at you more.
long lost cuz,
gloria

My dad Eugene was Augies brother. Unfortunately my parents divorced young, and I do not know a heck of alot about the Hy family. However, if there is anything you want to know please drop me a note. As far as I know Augie's two sisters are still alive and live in Western New York. Their names are Marion Brachman (husband Robert)and Sophie Kwiatkowski(husband deceased name was Richard.) All of Augies brothers are deceased.
Jeff
