Ikerd connection- My father had told me we were decended from an Ikerd/Haas family and my siblings suspect we are from the Peter
Ikerd (Eigert) but my problem is my father did not finish our research and has passed and as far back as I can remember my great grandfather who would have been born in the 1800's sometime was a George
Washington Ikerd who then had
Houston Leeroy
Ikerd and then William George
Ikerd my father. Anyone know of our lineage or connection? Any family out there? I know im suppose to have cousins (from Houston's family) in
Mississippi, ans there was some history of George knowing Sam
Houston(from
Texas history-ergoe
Houston being named after him). Please help :)
