Hi
I'm not sure if I already responded to your post from April. Since I posted my inquiry I have more information. Henry Imbert (my great grandfather) had two sisters, Henrietta and Adella. Henrietta married a John Leonard Huthmann and had 4 children; John, Grace, Leonard & Catherine and all lived in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY, mostly in Brookhaven since the 1930's. They owned a hotel there. Henry's other sister Adella married John J. Rickard in Queens in 1917 and had one daughter Grace A. born in 1918. The last know address I have is in 1930 in Valley Stream, Nassau, New York. I still am missing the dieath date of my great grandfather Henry. There is a SSDI for 1963 but I am not certain its him as birth date does not match. I also don't have the death dates of his parents Alfred Henri and Pauline Finger but did find thier marriage record index, marr, June 19, 1880 in NYC. The last record I have of them is 1900 census in Manhattan, NYC. I don't know if Henri Alfred came to America with anyone and have not been able to find immigration records. The 1900 census has his immigration has 1878 is the only thing I have to go on right now. Any connection to your family?

Re your post. The names you have listed in your post are similar to the names in my Imbert family and am wondering if there is a connection somewhere. My grandmother told me that the name 'Imbert' was at one time pronounced 'Imbere' (French sounding) and that she was told her ancestors were silk weavers which leads me to believe that at some point they came from France. My grandmother's name was Henrietta Constance Irving; her grandfather was Charles Alfred Imbert, but according to census records, he was born in London, but I can find no trace.

Family may have lived in Kansas before travelling to Washington State. Charles' father (name unknown) was also born in England. Would appreciate any leads. Thx.

Searching for lost/stolen diary of family trek on the Oregon Trail. May have been 1850's, 60's or later. Diary (known as "The Trek") went missing in Seattle from Irving(?) family home on 23rd Avenue probably in 1920's or 30's. Was rumoured to be stolen by a neighbour. Some names mentioned could be: Margaret Ann, Annie, James, George; sir names could be Imbert, Irving, MacDonald. Would of course love to have it back, but would really want the information.

Imbert, I have an original painting of Napolians staff during the battle of Waterloo. It was painted by a british artist who was on Welligtons staff. If Imbert was on his staff at this time do you have painting of him so I can check to see if he is in the painting. The artist died in Canada and his paintings were not discovered until his cottage was sold at auction and hidden in the attic were 13 oil paintings.

Mark

Hola Estrella!

Jorge Guasp
