My grandmother's second marriage was to Irval H. Iverson. He was born March 4,1902 in Tacoma, WA. and died in Woodburn, OR on Jan.5,1976. I have his death certificate, many pictures of his family, some of his personal history. I have a marriage record of his parents, Carl Iverson and Mathilda Horberg, married on Nov.3,? Carl was born in Norway Jan.26, 1866 and Matilda was born July 7, 1874 in Sweden. She came to USA Oct.26, 1896 from Sweden. This is not my line, but I would be so happy to correspond with those of you who may be related to Irval H. Iverson. Once we make the right connections, there is much family history here for you.

I don't check this often, but most of the names you mentioned are my family members. I am still collecting information on my father's side of the family. My father, Arthur Joel Iverson is the only son of Arthur Oliver Iverson and Helena Hodgkins. My father has three sisters. My dad has notes that his father wrote about his family as he got older and I have not seen them, but passed to me over the phone they sound confusing. I am told that his mother is Anna Augedahl (Augdahl perhaps)B Jul 13 1879 in Brandebo (Brandbu) Hadeland Norway. D Feb. 9, 1943.From what I understand they went to Minnesota in 1884 and then in 1904 moved to Glover, ND. I think her husband was Louis Martin Iverson, but I also have the name Louritz Morris, same person? B Jan. 3 1879 D Aug 23 1965. Beyond that I just have names that seems to stretch back to Norway and then I am lost. I have Anders Olsen Augdalseie and Anne Maria Arnesdatter. Are these Louis/Louritz's parents? And then I have the names Lawrence and Lavina Iverson of Ellendayl ND but don't know who they are. I read the other post responding to you about Lila. SHe wa my grat aunt and I knew her well when I was young. I have fond memories of her here in Maine. How are the people in your post related to you?
Thanks,
Lindsay Savage

Jennie Brcka Kliner married Ruben Iverson

I am not any of these surnames but my son in law is K. Kliner. I'm working on his tree.

I have a Jennie Brcka who may have married a Joseph Kliner in either IL or MI in time to have a son Joseph Kliner in 1926, again either in IL or MI. This Jennie Brcka Kliner later married Ruben Iverson in Niles, MI, in 1948. The elder Joseph Kliner was born after the 1900 census but before the 1910. Probably in IL.

Trouble is, I also have another Joseph Kliner Sr also born bet. 1900 and 1910 censuses, who married a Jennie Lighthall.

I can't straighten out the two Jennies so I don't even know if they are one or two! So I'm trying both their surnames as well as my son in law's, Kliner.

Any help at all will be most appreciated!

The info that I have:
Birth: 22 July 1879, Stavanger, Norway
Father's name: Iverson, birth place Norway
Emigration: 1896
Marriage: 11 April 1898 Kennedy,Kittson County, Minnesota
to: John Johnson (Johannes Johansson)
Minister: H. S. Childgren
Witnesses: Alfred and Carry Johnson and Gustav Hord
Death: 9 May 1915
I was wondering if anybody had any clues about her in Norway? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a photo of a young man. On the back is written
This Phootograph was taken 1890 of Holver Iverson

Father Iver Iverson b 1806
Mother Martha b 1825
Holver b 1862
Jessie b 1864
Tom b 1868

It had the children born in Wis, Minn. I found them in the census in 1880(Minn) Martha was widowed and the three children were with her. In 1900 (Iowa) and 1910(Iowa) Martha is living with Jessie and the census says Jessie and Martha came over from Norway in 1870. I guess whoever wrote the information on the back was incorrect with birthplace. However the birthdate is correct.

If you think this is yours please let me know.
Mel Dove

My Grandma Lila Iverson was from Page North Dakota. She is the daughter of Albert Iverson/Aslogson. You may want to check the spellings of Aslogson and Aslakson. Several brothers came over from Norway and ended up using different names.

Jacob Iverson - Freeborn County, Minn

I'm looking for any information at all on Jacob Iverson born 1864 in either Iowa or Freeborn county, Minnesota. He married Lucy Elmer. I have recently obtained some obits and other newspaper articles from the family, and it appears he often went by the nickname of Jake.

Primarily, I'm looking to find out who his parents were. I had found one census record from 1880 that listed a Jacob Iverson in the home of an Ole Iverson in Iowa, but I can't find anything else to indicate if it's the Jacob I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

My father was born in October of 1930, and later he discovered he was adopted. His name is James Roger Phillips, and he married Shirley Dattilo & had seven children. We know is that his father's surname is Iverson. Apparently, in January or February of 1930, Mr. Iverson impregnated a young lady while they were both in college and decided to give the baby (who would later become James Phillips) up for adoption. Mr. Iverson may or may not have ever known the identity of James Phillips' adopting parents, and may or may not even have found out what first and/or last name the baby ended up taking.

If this story sounds like it hits home with anyone, please respond to this message, as we are attempting to find the identity of our father's birth parents.

I have not gotten to the Iver Iverson part of my family history yet. He was born in Norway approx 1885/+- and resided for some time in Duluth, MN. I don't know if he moved to one of the Dakotas, or stayed in MN. Married approx 1900 to Estelle.

Probably no info here, but my "unknown" grandfather (divorce) was Gilbert Iverson, and his father was Iver Iverson and wife Sofia Westly. A lot of history was in the Duluth, MN area, although I don't know where Gilbert Iverrson went; N.D. is a possibility. His son, Lester and daughter, Florence (my mother) were both born in Duluth. I am now in CT, and am just begining the complicated yet wonderful task of unraveling the family history. Good luck to you.
Pam Gregory
mommag123@comcast.net
