I do think that there is a relation. I found that Harriet, a daughter of William and Sarah, I think that this is the same Harriet that married Ephriam Farris, which they had a son named Tunstall William Farris, which I had been reading some of your previous post that William has been listed also as Tunstall William. You also mentioned that Sarah was part Indian, well Harriet had Indian in her as well. Do you know what kind of Indian? I think that we may have a match here. You can email me at sjcherry82926@yahoo.com and I would love to see the photo.

Dr. Francis Marion Jasper b. 04/26/1828 in Pulaski Co., KY, husband of Mariah Bryant Soper.

For thosae of you pulling your hair out (as I have been doing) trying to figure out the conflicting info on the 1870 Jessamine Co., KY Census Dist 3 image 1, the answer is right below under V M Wilson. It seems the census taker mixed up the 2 families.

Under V M Wilson is: MB which = Mariah Bryant, JS which = John S, Clay = Henry Clay, Nannie H = Nannie Herndon, and Carrie which = Carrie. It seems like the ages are correct under F M Jasper.

I don't know for sure that the family under F M actually belongs to V M Wilson as I haven't been researching that family, but there is a good chance it does.

Thanks,
Bev
She immigrated sometime before 1920 then married Herman Voth and lived in Hazleton, PA the rest of her life. She died in 1969. I'm looking for information about her early life before she got married. Who were Louise's parents? When did she come to America? Where did she come from in Germany? Thanks for your help.

On 24 Mar 1894 William Riley Jasper married Francis Minton
in either Pulaski County or Casey County. She was born 18 Sept 1897 and died 16 Mar 1921. She is buried in Somerset Cemetery with Riley. At one time they ran a boarding house in Cincinnati then moved back to Somerset. Their daughter, Hattie May, is my grandmother.
I don't know how she wound up in Texas. I know their son William was born in Texas but later moved to KY. Their son Filmore was also born in Texas, worked in Texas and lived in Somerset at his death.
Guess they were part of the great western Expansion.
I don't have any information saying that she and Riley divorced.

Looking for any information on Mary Surber (b 1861) who married William Riley Jasper (1857-1946). I am particularly interested in when they married, where they married and where she died. I think she died somewhere in Texas, but that is a big state.
