My wife's grandmother's name is Dolores Jauregui, but she never met her. We don't know any information about her other than that she married a Fernandez and they lived in Huntington Beach, CA. Any connection to the 9 children that you mentioned would be great, but we don't know anything about her besides what I've already said. Thanks!

Our family traces back to Antonio (Francisco Antonio) Jauregui born in 1833 in Elizondo, Spain and the first Jauregui to settle in this country from our family. Hello! My name is Monica Allegro and my father Juan Huerta Jaurequi was born in Temacapulin "Rancho Barreras", Villa Obregon or Canadas de Obregon, Jalisco. My dad was born in 1948 and currently lives in the San Fernando Valley, he has cousins in El Monte; Jose, Ursulo, Carmela, Genaro. His mother was Lorenza Juaregui (parents: Jose Marcos Jauregui & Benita Jimenez) also her siblings: Jose Cruz (father to the aforementioned cousins), Secundina, Emeterio & Maria Marcos. I showed him your post & he seemed to think that he had an Aunt named Eleuteria and an Uncle Felipe. He thinks that his Aunt Eleuteria was connected via his mothers side, possibly her dad; Jose Marcos's sister. I was just wondering if you knew your grandfathers or great-grandfathers names?

The greek lady you remember was Frangoula Tovar. She is buried in a Greek Orthodox cemetary, Rienzi Cemetary in Fond du Lac, WI. I believe she came from the Greek island of Kavala to marry David Mendoza Tovar. You can look up the cemetary and see her tombstone born 9/10/24 and died 5/7/2007. She was my former mother-in-law when I was married to Joe Tovar from 1967-1975. For more information on the Tovars contact Tammy Tovar Lukasavage, Menasha, Wi.Hope this helps. We would appreciate any information you have on Genoveva Moncada Jauregui as she was Tammy's grandmother (Joe's mom) but was deceased when we married.

These are the dates on tombstones in Allenville Cemetary in Allenville, WI. I was married to Jose (Joe Tovar from 1967 to 1975) and believe we visit Tio Nate for the funeral Joe's grandmother. Genoveva and David had 12 children - she died as a result of the birth of her last child. Their names are Guadalupe, Alfredo (Fritz), Esther, Eva, Jose (Joe), Elvira, Alberto, Elida, David, Elsa (Molly), and Elmira (Cookie). My daughter Tammy Tovar Lukasavage lives in Menasha, WI and could provide you with more information. Joe lives in Oshkosh, WI with his sister Eva.

Hi..my grandfather name was francisco jauregui he was born in mexico my grandmother nevies born in hollwood ca. then I guess they lived in hayden arizona. my father robert jauregui lives in san fernando ca he is 85yrs old,I vincent jauregui was born in san fernando ca. 1956 only child.My mother died dec 3 2003 anita zamora jauregui she was born in pacoima ca 91331 in 1930 her mother died when she was 3 at this time she went to live in mexico with my grandpa and returned when she was 13 yrs old to san fernando ca 91340 where she met my dad at 16.

Yo soy descendiente de Aniceta Jauregui Echenique, hermana de tu ancestro. De hecho, nuestro panteón familiar tiene como primer titular a Santos Jauregui.
La cuestión es que, como a mí el apellido, me viene por línea materna, se va muy lejos.
Hay una página muy interesante, se llama mendezmende es el archivo diocesano de Guipuzcoa. Ahí piudes conseguir información sobre tus antepasados. Yo lo he hecho.
Si tienes alguna duda. Me la dices. Yo soy de Fuenterrabía (Ahora Hondarribia). Aquí viven mas parientes.

I descend from the Jauregui bloodline. My paternal grandmother was Eleuteria Alvarado Jauregui and she was married to Felipe Alvarado. I forget his mother’s last name, very likely Jiménez. They are both buried in the same tomb which my dad had built for them in Temacapulín, Jalisco. Temaca is a little town secluded by hills which surround it from all sides and isn’t even visible from the road between Cañadas de Obregon and Mexticacán. They raised my dad in a nearby agricultural community known locally as “Rancho Barreras”. His name was Remedios Alvarado and he’s buried in the same tomb. If you’re planning to make a trip there sometime soon I can give you names of contacts who might be able to give you some information. Otherwise, tell the locals that Beto Alvarado, Hijo de Remedios, informed you. That will in turn get you to my direct relatives. The Doctor at Cañadas might also be a good source, he's a sort of amateur historian. Also, research "Club Temaca" of Los Angeles. It's membership consists of Hundreds of expatriots, now located in the US, mostly L.A., and I'm willing to bet that there's a bunch of our Jauregui kin folk there. Otherwise, look up my cousins (anyone with the same grandparents). If I got my facts wrong they'll straighten you out. Good Luck!

Jauregui's of Guatemala

Im searching for descendants of my grandmother, Maria Jauregui from Cuilapa, Santa Rosa, Guatemala. She was born around 1884 to Jose Antonio Jauregui and Vicenta Moreno. She was married in the early 1900's to Santos Hernandes until he passed away sometime around 1921. She then lived with Juan Varela and they had a son name Juan Jose Jauregui (my father). Maria Jauregui's father, Jose Antonio Jauregui, was 1 of 5 brothers who came from Spain and settled in or near Cuilapa, Guatemala. I do not know the names of his brothers. Jose Antonio was born in Spain, but beyond that I dont know anything more about him. He was most likely born in the 1820's or 1830's since Im told he was not a young man when my grandmother was born. Im told one of my grandmother's brothers (possibly named Francisco) moved to Mexico and settled there in the early 1900's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ELMON G. JAUREGUI "Al, Uncle Meto" 73, went to be with the Lord on Weds 8/31. He was born on 2/27/1938 in Carrizozo, New Mexico. Al lived in Rialto for the past 40 yrs. He served in the US Air Force 3 yrs; worked at Kaiser Steel 18 yrs; also employed by General Dynamics 12 yrs. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 yrs Helen Jauregui; son, Albert Jauregui; daughter, Yvonne Jauregui; son and daughter-in-law, Edward & Maria Jauregui; sisters, Nellie Lozano, Della Bull, Betty Olascoaga; 4 grandchildren, Edward Jr, Audrey, Erik, Erron Jauregui; 1 great-grandson, Elija Elmon Jauregui; nephew, Joe Salazar-Socorro, NM who was by Al's side at his time of need. my fathers name is jesse and had a uncle salvador we lived in torrance ca his fathers name was pablo married to justina both from teocaltiche. pablo was thrown out of mexico by his father in about 1917 and thats when he came to ca. he was in the dairy business and quite the gambler.
pablo had nine chrildren and now only four are living in southern ca. all of jesse's chrildren are gone except for myself. there was talk the jesse had fathered a child in about 1969 .

I've been trying to gather as much of my family history and came across your post regarding your grandfather's surname Jauregui. I am also a Jauregui from my paternal grandmother's side. My dad's family hails from the valley's of Los Altos de Jalisco, specifically Canadas de Obregon. A large percentage of people that i've encountered with the surname Jauregui are from los altos...if i come across another mexican-american with that last name i automatically will automatically asumme that they are somewhere from Jalisco. There's variants of the surname, a french variant of it is "de jaureguy" (just an example) but from what i know the name originates from the basque in northern spain and southern france. I also live in los angeles. who know's we may be related and not know it. My grandmother's maiden name was Guadalupe Jauregui Mena.

Hi my name is Jerardo Jauregui and my family is from Jalostotitlan Jalisco. My father, Rutilio Jauregui, is one of 13 meaning there are of us Jauregui's from Los Altos. I know Simon Jauregui is either my great grandfather or great great grandfather I can't remember right now. Maybe you're also related to him. Most of my family also lives here in the Los Angeles area too or around the Chino area.

Its possible. There is only one family Jauregui in Los Altos de Jalisco. My grandmother was Gorgonia Jauregui Franco from
Valle de Guadalupe, Jalisco. I have family from Tepa but they
are Martin.
