This most definitely sounds familiar! How nice to get a response to an almost-ten-year-old post! In the intervening years, I have managed to locate George Heinrich Jenner in census records for 1880, 1900, and 1910. He was the oldest of ten children of Georg Jakob Jenner and Christina Friedrika Ballreich. My great grandfather was his younger brother Alexander. Alexander's oldest child was Edwin Alexander Jenner, born in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, in 1870. My records show that George Heinrich Jenner had a son, Alexander Jenner, who lived in Adams County, Ohio, for most of his life.

My grandfather is Paul Jenner of North Dakota, brother was Clark Jenner, Ruth and Mabel were his sisters. I'm looking for any information anyone may have on any of this line. i would like to date it back as far as I can go. I do not know much I am 21 and my grandfather passed away before I was born so that is basically all I know besides my immediate family. Paul was married one before my grandmother Geraldine Dye. Together they had 8 children, 7 boys and a girl. I am the daughter of the only girl and I have 2 brothers myself. Any information would be appreciated and you can respond to this thread or email me at Stefanie_Jenner@Yahoo.com. thank you

I've still got a copy on the computer, so if you'd like a copy perhaps you could send me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. I might have other records regarding this family in my files but that would have to wait until after Christmas.
With regards, Evelyn Jenner in Kent.

They immigrated to Australia in 1853 with all but their eldest son John Henry who remained in England until about 1863/4. I only had a small amount of info for priscilla but i'm not sure if I've entered it onto the tree yet. I have the Jenner tree on Ancestry named JENNER TREE. I'm not able to look through just now but when I get a minute I will check the info I have and forward it on.

Thanks for your reply. I am descended from Charles jenner's son John who married Sarah Benbow. Their eledest son John Daniel Jenner remained in England with his uncle Daniel Benbow (aprenticed as a coach trimmer), when the rest of the family moved to Australia in 1853. John Daniel came to Australia about 1862 (no proof yet of his arrival). He is my great grandfather. There are a lot of descendants from John Jenner and Sarah Benbow in Australia now. If this is of any interest to you. I was never able to get any information on Priscilla Hopgood. Do you know anything about her or her family?

Hi David,
Would you happen to have any Jenners than have moved to New Zealand? I'm trying to track Issac Jenner (my Great Grandfather). I'm not sure if Issac's father is John or Charles as I have found an Issac Jenner with the same birthdate (and siblings) under both John and Charles.
I understand Issac moved with family from Sussex. He also married Mary Ann Hall.
Thanks!
Shelley - shellandmattscrafton@gmail.com

Hi there,

I'm just starting the process of trying to track down all my family - Jenners are there, and I'm hoping there may be some connection...

My Grandmother is Edith Rae Jenner, my Great Grandfather is Issac Jenner who married a Mary Ann Hall (Or just Ann Hall I'm not 100%). Issac was in New Zealand, I'm pretty sure immigrated to New Zealand in 1874 with John W Jenner & Eliza (what I can get from ships records). The thing is, I also find Issac (and some of his siblings (Caroline & Alfred) listed as children under a Charles Jenner in a different website. Issac, Caroline & Alfred all have the same birthdates on both sites, so I'm keen to hopefully get some more information...does anyone have any of these names linked at all?

Thanks very much!
Shelley - a Kiwi living in Melbourne!

my email - shellandmattscrafton@gmail.com
Linda Lee Jenner Schiller 1961-2011 Marion County, Ohio

MARION: Linda Lee Schiller, age 50, of Marion, Ohio died Monday evening, July 25, at the Kingston Partners of Marion following a four year battle with cancer.

On February 1, 1961, Linda Lee Jenner was born in Marion County, Ohio the third child of Buck (now deceased) and Mary Jenner.
Linda was the third oldest of four girls with one brother.

Linda loved to draw, paint and design. A lot her abilities were due to her father, who had an eye for color and an artist's hand. One of the pleasures Linda enjoyed was making dolls. She would work for hours painting the faces, designing the clothes and attaching the hair. Her efforts and attention to detail made her dolls popular and many were requested and purchased during the holiday seasons.

Her talents seemed to know no limit. Linda designed and created all the bridal bouquets and center pieces for her daughter's wedding. The program and decor was the product of Linda and her daughter's combined efforts.

Linda was a loving caring. She was able to bring a smile to any occasion and was known for her ability to make others feel comfortable and at ease.

Linda loved to shop. Clothing, shoes, boots and accessories were her treasures. She preferred a look with some "bling". A little sparkle here some glints there. She was sometimes referred to as the 'Bling Girl'.

Linda will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her: Husband, Christian Schiller; Son, Micheal, Daughter, Heather; Brother, Larry (Karen) Jenner; Sisters, Kathy Dutton, Debra (Dan) Hudnell, Cheryl (Tuck) Mitchell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Linda will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 (10 a.m.) at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Chaplain Daniel Kiger officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .

www.boydbornfuneralhome.com

Published in the Marion Star from July 27 to July 29, 2011

Sophia JENNER (CALEY, SWEETLOVE)
1st Marriage. Sophia & Samuel CALEY, 20 Nov 1830, St. Mary's Ashford Kent. Her home is listed as Tunbridge not Chiddingstone as shown on later census/marriages(about 1/2 way between Chiddingstone & Ashford).
2nd Marriage. Sophia CALEY (nee JENNER) & George SWEETLOVE 27 Jan 1851(St. Luke's Charlton, Kent) her father is shown as John JENNER.
The microfilm parish records for Chiddingstone are very difficult to read, don't print/save well, so expect the original records are very damaged.
The Sophia JENNER baptism I located, Chiddingstone Kent, 18 April 1814, mother Elizabeth (spinster) & no father is listed. I've sent you her bapt & marriage images directly.

I know you posted this ages ago, but I thought I would respond, anyway. I too am descended from a Jenner, and I have no smallpox scar. I was vaccinated twice. I don't think immunity can be inherited, though. I always wondered if there were other people out there who didn't get the scar. Maybe it's just a coincidental inherited immunity.

I have found some leads on my paternal ancestry leading to Sir William Jenner (an article in the Waterbury newspaper). Another family tree shows Edwin Pickering married to Margaret Sarah Jenner in 1841, but I cannot find any records connecting her to Sir William. The newspaper article indicated he was the Lord Mayor of Windsor for 3 consecutive terms, knighted by George IV. I would appreciate any information on the Jenner line that involves either of these ancestors.

Hi!
Unfortunately, I don't believe you are descended from Edward, but could be from one of his brothers. His two male children that survived to adulthood, as far as I could tell at this point, produced no male heirs. His daughter did have children, and I have found some of her descendants, but they do not have the Jenner name,
Do you have the names of those great great grandparents and birthdates and locations? My grandmother's cousins lived in Thornbury and Sodbury between 1900- 1950 - have to go back and see if they were some of the Jenner girls and if so their married names or the Jenner guys. I am stuck for details on his side of the family.
No, unfortunately I have no information whatsoever about Alpha House. My parents met in Cheltenham during the Second World War, as both were stationed there -- Mum with the British Army and Dad with the US Army. Because of our Jenner connection, my parents visited and photographed the Jenner Museum and the old Jenner Hut when they were in England in 1984 for the 40th anniversary of the Normandy invasion.

However, in 2008 I was able to prove conclusively that my Jenner line is NOT descended from Dr. Edward Jenner (as he left no male descendants to carry on his line) nor any of his siblings. If we have any connection to the doctor, it would be through a common ancestor, since my branch of the Jenners arrived in the American Colonies prior to 1653 -- roughly 100 years before the birth of Dr. Edward Jenner, and thus three or four generations previous to him.

Upon learning of this, I lost all interest in researching Dr. Jenner further.
