I am searching for James Manning Jimenez (nick name Smokey) who was born in the Philippines from an American mother (name unknown) and a Philippino father (name unknown other than the surname Jimenez) James Manning Jimenez's Birth year approx. 1936.
He was raised in the San Diego, CA area. The middle name being Manning leads me to believe it may have been his mother's maiden name. I believe his mother was in the Philippines due to her American father being Military. James was in the Salt Lake City, UT area in approx. years of 1958-1960 where he met my mother Betty Mae Stauffer, (nick name Thumper). Looking for info. on Gonzalo Jimenez, my paternal grandfather who lived from 1912-2009. He was born in Mexico and came to the US and died in New Mexico at the age of 96. His wife was Sara Jimenez and she lived from 1926-1995. She was born in Mexico and died in California. Her mother's last name was Navarro and her father's last name was Manzo. They had a few children who all are still living as far as I know. Some live(d) in New Mexico and in Southern California. I believe my father still lives in San Francisco bay area. Any help is appreciated.

Doing some research on my Great Grandfather, Luis Ochoa Jimenez, b. 8/25/1877 in Juarez, Mexico, d. 7/12/1957 in San Bernardino, CA. He married Maria Tafoya. She was born 8/15/1887 in Sonora, Mexico. Died 2/7/1943 in Los Angeles, CA.

Maria's parents were Videl Tafoya from Mexico and Serapia Sarellanos also from Mexico. This is the extent of information I have. Please contact me if you know of anything about these people.

I had some problems w/ my e-mail and couldn't read your message or respond until now.
I do think that we are half brothers. My birth certificate identifies my grandfather's name as Agapito and my grandmother's name as Candelaria. I have 4 brothers and sisters: Ramiro, Maria Candelaria, Maria del Refugio, Maria Guadalupe, and I am the youngest, Agapito. I have wondered my whole life (32 years) about what had happened to my father and why he never came to see us. I am deeply saddened at the news that he has passed away.
Could you tell me when he passed away? I have been in the US for nine years and always felt that my father was somewhere in this country. I only wish that I had been able to make contact with you sooner.
My mother tells me that she cared for some of my half brothers from a previous relationship my father had before he met her. The names she remembers are Jose Alfredo, Miguel, Juan, Doroteo, and Rosa.
I live in Laredo, Texas. I hope that one day we can exchange phone numbers and talk or perhaps even meet each other. Unfortunately, I am in this country illegally and have limited English skills. A friend has helped me with these communications with you. If you speak Spanish we can have more direct communication.

Information on either would help a lot. not to much is known on them considering they both dies in their early 40's and the children were young. it is me juan antonio jimenez i think my fathers dads name was agapito my father came to the us in the late 1970's or early 1980's my family travled with him to work in fields we traveled all over the us to work we did live in michigan new york and a number of other places i have an older brother by the name of ramiro also their are 8 siblings in my family i dont know if my father is your father but if it is i think you should know that he passed away in rio bravo tamp i met another half brother his name was juan also but he was alot older i know he was from mex but not sure where pls respond

Does your father's history match the information I gave in my original post? Is (or would) your father's age match the approximately mid-70's age I gave? My father probably came to the U.S. during the 1970's to 1980's. Please give me some more information about your family to see if we match. POW/MIA Korean War, Jimenez

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave San Antonio, Texas as his home of record. His remains were never recovered. Our government has no family contact at this time for this soldier

Soldier: VICTOR PERALES JIMINEZ
Born: 1927
Date of loss: 16 July 1950 POW

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (79years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Ambrocio Rosendo "Ross" Jimenez died in Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at age 60.

Born April 1, 1944, in Firebaugh, Mr. Jimenez had been a Woodland resident for 10 years, then he moved to Soledad, where he spent the rest of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Baudelina Jimenez; son, Sal Jimenez; daughter, Lisa (Jimenez) Tafoya and husband Sal; grandson, Rikki Tafoya; sisters, Concha Garcia, Margaret Perez, Emma, Monica and Lydia Jimenez; and brothers, Frank, Simon and Cookie Jimenez.

Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst Terry Funeral Home of Soledad.

Services: Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Friday, April 9 at Whitehurst Terry Funeral Chapel of Soledad, with a rosary to follow. A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, April 12, at Our Lady of Solitude Church, Soledad. Burial will be at Gonzales Cemetery.

Searching for Father FRANCISCO JAVIER JIMENEZ

I was born in Oct 1984, my mother's name is Patricia Orozco, she may have also used her father's last name Robles. They met in aunt's sewing shop in the early 80's in Whittier, CA or surrounding areas. I know I have an older sister, not sure of her name possibly Marbella. The only other info I have is he worked as a furniture mover during the 80's and he had brothers possible names of Juan and Jose. Maybe more than just two brothers. I have a letter he wrote to my mother (Petra Pulido Ruedas) in Ciudad Madero, Mexico in 1980 where he states that he was working as a migrant worker in various U.S. states, including Florida, Michigan, Ohio, California, and even Canada. I have five full brothers and sisters, but I understand that my father had another older set of five children by a previous relationship to a woman with the last name of Garcia.
