My grandfather was John Henry Jinks.My father is William B Jinks.John Henry was raise somewhere around Minden La.He raise his family in Delhi.My father has I think 12 brothers sisters. Great uncles where Frank Jinks and one called Red Jinks.I will get you direction today.

Jinks, Delhi, LA - Reply: Billy's parents were John Henry Jinks, deceased and Maudie Ellen Howard. Billy's grandparents were John Henry Jinks, Sr. deceased and Alma Lawence, deceased. I had a grandmother named Ziska Jincks/Jinks we are not sure of the spelling. She had a sister names Omie. Do you have any information on these two sisters in you genealogy?

Was her dad William Jincks from France and she lived in Texas

Sorry I can't be of any help; I've never heard of either of those two names in my research, which has been mostly with the Jinks family that started in NC, then moved to GA, and then into southern Alabama. A large chunk of the Jinks family then moved on to Texas, but I have not researched that branch.

Thanks for your reply! There is a long story behine my line of Jinks! They lived in MS. Then moved to LA. My email address is glcolorado@yahoo.com - Ino got sick and his family came and got him and took him north-where north we don't know, leaving my g-grandmother with two little girls to raise, they moved to Louisiana.One was my grandmother Ziska, she married a Farrington after he died she married a Rucker. If you ever come across these names please let me know. I have hit a brick wall!
