Steve JOBS was adopted as an infant. Understandably, he is said to have considered his adoptive parents, Paul and Clara (HAGOPIAN) JOBS, to be his parents and to have considered his biological parents merely his "sperm and egg donors." Genealogically speaking, of course, his biological ancestry is of major interest.

Steve was born out of wedlock to Abdulfattah "John" JANDALI & Joanne Carole SCHIEBLE. John and Joanne later married, had another child — Stephen's full sister, novelist Mona E. SIMPSON — then divorced. Both remarried. (Mona goes by her stepfather's surname, SIMPSON.)

Abdulfattah JANDALI is a native of Syria, and I know nothing of his ancestry, so the ancestry in the pedigree chart linked above is that of Steve's mother, Joanne Carole SCHIEBLE. She was born in 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is still living (in California). Her ancestry is 1/4 German-Swiss and 3/4 German. The chart begins with her parents, Arthur & Irene (ZIEGLER) SCHIEBLE.

Found the will for Rachel JOBS, wife of George,who mentions the following heirs: sons Samuel and George; and daughters, Rachel SPENCE, Mary FENTON, Dorcas WALKER, Deborah TOMSON, Elizabeth McCOY. I am researching Deborah!

In a 1740 marriage between Garret WALL & Catherine CARR, Deborah TOMSON gives her consent for her underage daughter to marry.

Has anyone ever found any marriage references for Deborah with a John KER(R)/CAR(R); or an Unknown T(H)OMSON???
