I am very interested in any information you may have on PETER JOHANN. Do you have a year of birth? I have a Peter JOHANN in ( Albany) New York in approximately 1865. His occupation was tailor. Any connection.

Bonnie,

My Peter Johann, born 1833 or 34 in Prussia lived in
LaPorte Indiana during the birth of his Children from
1857-1871. He then moved to Nebraska, not sure the on
the year, but was there by 1876. I do not know when
Peter came to America. His wife, Hannah E. Weast was
born in PA. 1880 Census they were in Liberty Precinct
in Nuckolls County Nebraska.

Peter Johann of LaPorte, Indiana was in the Civi War.

I found another Peter in buried in Nuckolls County
Nebraska who married to aMageline. They are buried in
St. Stephens Cemetery. Peter died 1876 and his wife
died in 1898 at age 66. Your Petter could possible be
this Peter as I do don't know at this time when he moved
to Nebraska or were he lived before moing there. I just
found the headstone a month ago while in Nebraska.

I do not know were Peter and Hannah lived or die after
leaving Nuckolls County around 1900. Not having much
luck tracing them. I do have new inforation on their
children if you are interest.
