Hartman operated a cooperage about 35 miles from Pittsburgh in the early 1850’s and the
Johns family joined him there for awhile and then they all returned to New
Richmond, OH to settle. Gustav must have returned there later in life with his wife Barbara. This family has ties to Evansville IN, St Louis MO and I think Terre Haute IN.
