Johannick picture postcard

I've recently been gifted a collection of postcards from the early 1900s and have run across one that may be of interest to this forum. I realize that the last name isn't exact but it's as close as I can find.

The postcard if of Lennes Johannick and Elain Johannick and would be from approximately 1905-1915 and the children are about 6 and 3 years old.

Based on the other postcards that I have, I want to say that these children were in Minnesota but I can't be sure about that. I have no other information and would enjoy finding this photo a good home.

Trying to find any descendents of Peter Johann, born Germany, 1830's and his 2nd wife, Jeanette/Ginette Kennon ---know they had a son named George Johann, but also one other child per 1900 census (Jeanette, mother of 4/2 living)...Jeanette, sister to my Mary Kennon Frederick...

Johann history in Prussia / Germany

I have an ancestor, Julias Johann, b.~1833, we had always been told he was born somewhere in Germany, but the 1880 US Census lists his birthplace as Prussia. I was told that Prussia was a "germanic area". I'm not sure whether to be researching using Germany or using Prussia. Can anyone help me get started in the right direction? This is the first family member I've traced to outisde the US, so I'm kinda lost!

I just recently discovered that My oldest relative in my data base was Martin Johann. He sighned this on a legal document. He lived in Pa. in 1700's to 1846. The names Peter, Andrew, John, Martin are commin in our family.If anyone would like to share I would like to as well.My Martin spoke German

JOHANN, Catharine 1916 Milwaukee Communion Book (see jpg)

1916 Child's Celluloid Catholic Communion Book

This is a beautiful child's communion book from 1916. It measures 2 1/2" x 4" x 7/8". 400 pages. The covers are an ivory-colored celluloid with an imprinted color illustration of Christ on the front and metal clasp. The spine is embossed velvet. Gilded page edges. The inside cover is recessed with an inset Mother-of-Pearl cross with a metal Christ on it with a fancy cloth background.
The title page reads Perlen der Anbacht and is in German. Printed by Diederich Schaeffer Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The opposite tissue-covered page has an actual line engraved print of Christ. The hand-written next page shows this book was given to Catharine Johann upon her communion on June 18th, 1916. The handwriting is in German, Swiss or possibly Scandinavian. Johann & Johanna as a Canname?

In my linage Johann & Johanna is used repeatively in the names of the parents and childern. Does anyone have any speculation as to why? For about 3 generations each individual in my linage carried a variation of the name.

I am looking for any information on Friedrich Johann of Kenfus, he was born in1724/25 and was married to Margaretha Hoff, he died in 1789 and she in 1798. They had a son named Caspar b. 9-24-1763 and he married Barbara Comes on Nov. 14, 1788. Caspar's siblings were Johannis Peter, Joannis Theodor, Peter Josef, Joannes, Anna Marie, Gertrud, Joannes, and Margareta. Thank for any info you may have. Becky

Looking for family of Caroline Hilbe, originally from Mels Tilz, St. Gallen Co., Switzerland. Her parents were John Johann and Mary Katherine Ackerman. Her siblings were John Johann, Frank Johann, Chris Johann, Leonard Johann, Mary Barbara Katherine (Minnie) Miller, Mary Ackerman, and Elizabeth Shoemaker. Her sister Mary Miller moved to America in 1883. She lived in Blair, Nebraska. Looking for the connection over seas.

Looking for a John Johann that lined in Saint Gallen County in appx 1863. Married to a Mary Katherine Ackerman. Had several children. Son Frank and daughter Mary Barbara Katherine Johann came to the US and stayed in Nebraska. Frank returned to Switzerland but Mary stayed. I am seeking information on my GG Grandfather Peter Johann, born approx. 1838. He married Catherine Balthes in Albany, NY and had three children (Susanna, Augustus and Elizabeth). Peter served in the NYS Militia during the civil war and died suddenly in 1870. Elizabeth married William C. Schultz. Anyone with information, please contact me.

Would like to know any info on Johanns in
East Prussia at this time. He came to US in
1854 and used the name Henry Johann.

born about 1878. Married Bess Bell in
1908 or 09. Had brothers, Ambrose, etc. Was born Catholic. Was in Vaudeville, part of an act called Harris and Niemann, and others. Later
was in real estate in Coral Gables, Fl. in 1920's. Any info appreciated.
