ANDREW G. JOHNSON
Andrew G. Johnson, born May 1872 in Sweden. His parents were August
Aronson and Gustafva Hendrikdottar. He was baptized in the Lutheran chruch at Sillerud, Sweden on May 16, 1872. He was confirmed in the same church October 25, 1887 by Reverend
Selene.
He immigrated to
America and taught in Twin Valley,
Minnesota in 1893. Andrew came to bantry, ND in 1900 and became a naturalized citizen on April 10, 1905. He homesteaded that year. In 1905 he married Hulda M. Johanson at
Bantry. Hulda, daughter if Anna and August
Anderson, came fra Sweden in 1902. She was baptized in 1878 and confirmed in 1892 in Sweden. She came to
Bantry in 1902 and homesteaded in
Bantry Twp.
They had five children:
Albert Johnson: passed away at 3 fra a ruptured appendix.
Gunberg Johnson: married Frank
Solberg and moved to
Langdon, ND
Emil Johnson: lived on the home farm.
Mary Johnson: married Walter Marshall and lives in
Bantry.
