I just read your inquirey into the Johnson family ancestors. I don't know if this information will help you as I don't have any information on our family ancestory living in Canada, only the U.S.
Andrew Johnson, the 17th President of the united States 1865 - 1869, Born 1808 and died 1875. His parents were Jacob Johnson and Mary McDonough Johnson. His wife was Eliza McCardle, they had five children. Their second child was Charles Johnson (1830-1863). He had a son Charles F. Johnson (1859 - 1890)He had two sons, the second being Charles Fredrick Johnson Sr. (1879-1937)He had four children. his fourth child was Charles Fredrick Johnson Jr. (1912-1972) This man was my father. Andrew Johnson, the president was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. He died in Carter Station, Tennessee. He was buried in the Andrew Johnson National Historic site in Greenville, Tennessee. The rest of his family and my Great Grand Father, and Grand Father are burried in Holly Springs, North Carolina. My father, charles F. Johnson Jr. is burried in Bladensburg, Maryland. I have no children so I am the last Charles Johnson left. I live in Beltsville, Maryland.
Your inquiry caught my eye when you mentioned Andrew Johnson. Maybe just a coincidence, but I thought I would reply.
