Looking for family of a Calvin Jones that was born anywhere from 1850-1860. He married Martha "Mattie" Bunton/Bunting in Lampasas County Texas, Jan. 17, 1876. Mattie's family was all from around the Bell, Lampasas, Coryell, San Saba County area. Her mother was Martha Jane Griffin, father W.J. Bunting. I am interested in any Jones families in these counties around 1876 that might help me figure out who Calvin's family was. There is a good possibility he was born in Tennessee. We have a Fraces Arkansas JONES who married a George Wahington COX in the late 1800's in Nolansville, Bell County, Texas

I'm looking for Philmore "Phil" M Jones born 1865, where unknown,died 1915 in Cherokee Co. and burried in Bullard Cem. hemarried Nancy "Nannie" J Patterson ( B 1878 D 1937) about 1894. They were living in Uvalde Co. in 1895 when their first child Winnie Pearl was born. They moved to Edom in Van Zandt Co. and then after 1910 they were living in Mixon area of Cherokee Co.. They had 9 children. No one has ever known who their parents were. My grandmother said they never had any relatives that they knew except each other in their immediate family. Nancy's death certificate does not have parents listed and Austin cannot find a certificate for Phil. Have you come across these names in your research? They are my brick wall. The Jones family married into the Cox family near Nolandsville, Bell County. The wifes name was Frances Arkansas Jones. Their descendants are over by McCullough County and San Sabe. Some went first to Hondo in Medina County. I need to determine which other sister married a Cox. I will let you know. Hope this is your family. Look in Bell County and possibly Medina.
