J.M. Jule Crushed to Death

Found in The Alaska Daily Empire, dated 7/7/1917, p8:

J. M. JULE CRUSHED TO DEATH BENEATH A PILE OF LUMBER
J. M. Jule, an employee of the Worthen Lumber Mills was almost instantly killed last night at 9 o'clock when a pile of lumber in the mill yards toppled over on him. Jule at the time was engaged in removing boards from a pile standing between two piles. One of them toppled over and slowly crushed out his life.
William Burford was near the scene and when the pile fell and Jule called for help, ran to his assistance. Others gathered by cries of the unfortunate man, but he was dead by the time they could remove the boards from him. Dr. Sloane was summoned but was unable to do anything for the man.
Jule was engaged in overtime work at the time of his death. He had been working since last May.
