I haven't been doing much genealogy lately. Just came across this post. I don't have a lot on this couple. I'm trying to figure out if there is a connection of William Meyers to my own Meyers family. Do you have any other information on him? If he is connected I can fill in some of the blanks.

My Jurado family originated from Cagayan & settled in Magsingal, Ilocus Sur... I have a complete list of my great-grandfather Celestino's children, grandchildren, great-grand & so on... My great-grandfather Celestino has many siblings (including Maria Nicomedes - my great-grandfather actually named one of this children Maria Nicomedes too! There's even a song written for Maria Nicomedes...) I read a post here about Lelang Medeng - & it seems like she's my great-grandfather's sister!!! Well, it seems like the stories I've heard from my family is the exact person (where she originated, moved..etc...)

Please feel free to message me if you have any more info! I'd love to share my part of my Jurado Family tree...(and if your Jurado side is from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur..we are mostly likely related!) :)

My name is Lois Jurado. My father is Romeo Jurado, the son of Celestino Jurado from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur. From the stories I've heard, Maria Nicomedes is my great-grandfather Celestino's sister... There's even a song written about his sister Maria Nicomedes and one of his daughters is named after Maria Nicomedes as well.. The fact that she moved to Quezon province, just proved that she is definitely the "Maria Nicomedes" my family has been talking about...

Looking for information out there on Alejandro Jurado 22 April 1926 death 13 April 1985. I am do this research for my brother-in-law and his mother. His mother name is Luz Elena "Luci". The best she can recall is that her grandfathers name was Juan Jurado and married a lady by the name of Maria. Now I know both Juan and Maria is a common name, but would love any bits you can throw my way.

there are three brothers, Desiderio, Guillermo "Willie" and Emiliano "Emil" Jurado. I am the daughter of Willie Jurado who run for public office. Uncle Desi was a Judge in the Philippines and he has 12 children. Uncle Emil is a journalist in the Philippines with4 children and the lone survivor of the 3 brothers. My father is better known as Willie Jurado had 10 children and also was a journalist in the Philippines and here in the US. He was based in Daly City, CA. He also was in the 80s a commercial attache for the Philippine Consulate.

I see that I'm related to several people on this board, having been descended from Maria Jurado Marquez. The question is... who is Antonio Jurado? He had left no impression on his grandson, my father. No, not even through family stories. Although the Jurado uncles I'd met had Caucasian features, why were some of their own close relatives said to be decidedly "Indio" (according to my older siblings)? Did their mother (my great-grandmother) marry twice?

My great-great-Grandfather was a Spaniard named Antonio Jurado, who settled in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur. He had a son named Severo Jurado and a daughter named Maria Nicomedes Jurado (she had 4 more brothers whose names I do not know, but are for sure the progenitors of the Ilocos Sur Jurados). Maria Nicomedes (or Lola Medeng) moved to Lucena, Quezon Province to marry my great-grandfather Gregorio Marquez. Our side of the family barely knows anything about our Jurado relatives. We've also been trying to get proof of Antonio Jurado to submit to the Spanish Embassy so as to able to link us with the Jurado line in Spain.

Our line is on Geni. Look for Antonio Jurado, Maria Nicomedes Marquez (Jurado)

Tito Jurado: if your grandfather was Severo Jurado from Ilocos, then we are almost certainly related. Severo Jurado was my great-grandmother's (Maria Nicomedes Jurado de Marquez) brother. They were from Magsingal, Ilocos Sur. Their father was a Spaniard, Antonio Jurado.

Hi. My maternal grandmother was a Jurado and her mother was a Cortes. She was from Vigan, Ilocos Sur. I would like to know more about the Jurados of Vigan, the Cortes family, and also the Pasion family. My grandmother married a Pasion (surname of my maternal grandfather, the one who married my Jurado grandmother.) Grandma Jurado eloped with Grandpa Pasion because the Jurado family disapproved. Very snobbish, the Jurado family, right? Anyway, they had 5 children & my mother was one of those 5 children. Ok, Jurados out there who trace their family to Vigan, HELLO!!

We have the same name. I am Enrique Jose M. Jurado Jr. My father is Enrique Lopez Jurado born in Lucena. He was in the Navy dring WW-II ( see. http://www.webstation.com.au/sailing/navies.htm). His brother was formerly General Augusto Jurado (Air Force). As far as I can recall, my granfather was Severo or Severino, and may have hailed from Ilocus, as I was told. We could exchange coordinates if you are interested in more info to research. I live in Ottawa, Ontario.

I married into the Jurado family several years back but to work on this family tree will be a challenge. My husband's parents were from Ecuador. They came to California in the early 1960's and married in Los Angeles. What kind of information do you have on the Jurado family originating in Spain? Do you know of any of the Jurado's in Ecuador? Ok the Rodriquez line the names are.. Macedonio Rodriquez married Macisma Hernandez and had Jose Guadalupe Rodriquez who married Maria Jurado and then had Juana Paula de Jesus Rodriquez she married Jose Placido Montes there is where my line comes from

I have more lines that cross into the Hernadez name
and the Jurado name

In the the message you posted you listed one of Guadalupe's sibling as Maria Justa Regina and parents of Trinidad Jurado & Vicenta Medrano the names are the same as the Justa in my line Ma. Justa Regina Jurado. The lines will be somewhat different because I'm looking for Justa's info & your looking for Guadalupe's info the only thing in common are that they siblings.

As far as I know I do not have a Justa but I am sure she is connected somehow being that the Jurado' hooked up with the Montes and they are all from SCR Chih. The Jurado's I have are Indian are yours? If you read the first post which is mine you will see all the names I have and the surname connections.

What a surprise to find two Jurados from the Philippines on this messageboard. And I was only browsing out of curiousity. Anyway, my full name is Enrique Jose C. Jurado and I now live in Glendale, California. I have first cousins in Daly City, California. I was born in Manila. My father's name is Emiliano P. Jurado, Jr. His father, the Sr., was born in Ilocus Sur. My great grandfather was a Spanish soldier who was born in Malaga, Spain. He was one of two brothers that resided in the Philippines. Since our surname is quite rare, it is possible that you may have come from one of these two soldiers.

My husband's maternal ggrandfather was Guadalupe Jurado from Santa Cruz, Rosales, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was born about 1854, married Andrea Gallego, also of Mexico, in 1886 in San Antonio, Tx. In 1920 they lived in Bastrop Co., Tx. He died in Brenham, Tx. Their children were Manual, Juanita, Andrea, Guadalupe (f), Alfredo and Josefa Jurado.

I believe Guadalupe Jurado's parents were Trinidad Jurado and Maria Vicenta Medrano, both of SCR, MX. The siblings I have found are Maria Felipa Luisa, Jose Domingo Jesus, Juana, Maria Justa Regina, Maria Delores, Maria Nicolasa and Jose Longino Delores Jurado.

I also understand Guadalupe Jurado had children with another woman before Andrea Gallego, but don't know her name.
