the descenedancy of Francis Jury is enormous and unfortunately there are a few trees on Ancestry which have made erroneous connections.

My father and Grandfather are both Joseph Jury. My grandfather Joseph Frederick Jury was born in Tunbridge Wells (Kent) in 1909 son of Stephen Jury.

I am looking for more information on a Peter Jury (apparently a brewer) married to a Sarah Baker in Rochester (st. Nicholas) in Sept. 1800.
Their daughter, Sarah Woodger Jury, married in Gillingham in 1826 and ended up in NSW Australia. (I have info on her but looking to find out more about her parents)

Hi Nichole. These names are on my family tree. I am a decendant of Alfred Fredmans brother- Goldwin Smith Jury. His son was my Dad-Rae Goldwin Jury. Alfred Fredmans' parents are Alfred Fredman (Tailor and Dairy Farmer) and Elizabeth A. Ewing(her parents from Londonberry). They married June 21, 1899. Your Moms has siblings Laurie, Enid and Norman according to my family tree.
Also, Alfred the Dairy farmer was the son of another Alfred Fredman. This Alfred comes from a big family. He had 9 siblings. I have that info if you are interested. Luckily, my Dad wrote out our family tree.

My name is Scott Leonard jury.my father is Cyril Thomas jury.
My great great grand great father came to New Zealand on the Boat William Bryant in 1841 He was born in Cornwell England.Thomas Jury landed in New Zealand at Moturoa/Taranaki whilist he was still an child.
He passed away in 1910 age 73years.
Im hope that someone will read this an can help me fill in the rest of my family tree from England and some lost ties from the New Zealand side

Well I live in the Taranaki and my wife's grandmother was Ani Rawiri from Ngati Rahiri. I believe you have quite a full tree for the 'Jury's', originally from Kent. The furthest back I have at present is Edward Jury (b 1787 Marden Kent) married to Alice. If you have any information you coud share with me about the family I would be very grateful. Edward and Alice are my 4xg'garents, through the female side of the family, so lots of name changes!

I would be very interested in anyone who might have any information on Vera Janet Jury who was Norman Kirk's (former NZ Prime Minister). There is a connection between her and my grandfather Henry Jury.

Frustration has set in... I'm already at a dead end and I haven't stepped off the starting block yet. I've only been able to establish date of, and age at death. (assuming the cemetry record is accurate). Apart from that, I've only heresay information which at best I think is rather skewed. The only thing I do know for sure is that he emigrated to New Zealand... and died in New Zealand. Although told, I'm not even sure he came from Cornwall. He did have a couple of brothers who also emigrated to New Zealand and they (or at least one of them) started a photography business.

Henry Jury born c1877, died Feb 1951, New Plymouth, Taranaki NZ at the age of 75. He was married to my grandmother Ngauru Rawiri (Annie) at the time of his death.

I would be very interested in anyone who might have any information on either Vera or Henry they would be willing to share, as I'm really hoping to establish an alternative starting point.

JURY in New Zealand.

Don't know whether this is is a connection... but you never know. I've no idea as to whether I'm a Francis Jury descendant but I am a grand daughter of Henry Jury (born c1877) who emigrated to New Zealand. From census records I've been researching, there is a Francis Jury who is a brother to a Henry who could be my grand father.

Nice to meet you cousin. Thank for for the information. I did not have Frances' last name or any of the dates/places. I have very little information on the family except Matilda's branch. Since she died young and the family immigrated to the United States, little information was passed down about the 'White' family.

I've traced my Jury line back to Richard Jury 1712 - 1761. He lived in a Welch settlement in Chester County, PA. Do you have any more information on the book that you refer to, i.e. title, author, etc?

My name is Kimble Jury. I read in a book about the Jury family world wide that a soldier named Jury was the first British soldier to step onto the USA mainland during The War of Independence in 1766. I guess he must have lived to create your birthline.

I am looking for a John Jury, b. abt 1830, m. Elizabeth Doyle, b. abt 1830. John was born in Devon, Bidford, England. Elizabeth was born somewhere in England according to the 1891 census. this information was gleaned from the 1871 Census.

Children:

Alfred Henry b. abt 1850,
John Henry b. abt 1858,
George b. abt 1860,
Emily b. abt 1865,
Charles Rd Alfred b. abt 1868,
Edith? b. abt 1874.

Alfred is my great-grandfather. I am unsure of what the Rd stands for in the name Charles Rd Alfred. That is the way it appeared in the 1871 Census. I am also unsure of Edith because she was not on the 1871 Census. She was on the 1891 Census at age 17.

Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated!

I am researching my father's family. I am attempting to find my great-grandfather. I was originally told his name was Harry A. but have subsequently discovered that he also went by Alfred H. I doubt that our Alfred's are the same but I need to check for my own peace of mind. My Alfred/Harry was born in Canada approximately 1850 and came to the US in 1851. yes we are from the jury and streeter family..from james and elizas daughter ellen who is elizabeths sister she married josiah mcclintock..one of their daughters cis married my great grandfather william bradley..and so it goes on...the mcclintocks are buried next to james and eliza in prebbleton..
we have information on the jurys going back to robert jury who married in 1762 and stephen streeter approx 1720?

Since our last conversation, I have learned that my great-grandfather may have switched his names around. He may have been called Alfred Harry Jury. I found some stuff on him in Canada Censuses. I am still trying to confirm this as well as Margaret(Ann?) Wilson being his wife.

I had forgotten I had posted this message. I always thought James and Eliza were buried in Gebbie's Valley. I think my Pop told me they were but they didn't have headstones. James and Eliza Streeter's daughter, Elizabeth, was my Pop's grandmother.
I have been past All Saints many times and have always been meaning to stop and have a look. I only live 10 mins away.

I haven't been working on the Jury/Streeter family for a while so don't know if I need anything at this point.

Is it the Jury family or Streeter family (or both?) that you are connected to? I have info as well on both sides but mainly gathered from other people.

My mother was Lillian Jury b. 1904 Sittingbourne Kent. Her Father was Benjamin Jury b.1871. His father was Joseph William Jury b.1842 Maidstone Kent d 1878 married to Louisa Annetta b. Peckham London 1838 d. 1919. Joseph and Annetta had 6 children. After Joseph died the family was split into poor houses in Kent. Annetta married a coal miner Knight and moved to Wales.

Certainly sounds like we are related.
