Looking for Kaler ancestors who would like to test and compaire DNA results. Must be men to test for YDNA. I have had the 67 YDNA marker test from Family Tree.

My name is Thomas Kaler and I am a direct decendant of Ludwig (Lewis) Kaler, born about 1755, died about 1820 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Ludwig is believed to have been German.

I believe my Kaler family is related to several families with variant spellings...Kaler, Kaylor, Kalar, Caler, just to name a few. Would like to prove these claims and possibly connect with other, currently unknown, branches of the family.

Hello Fellow KALER posters!

Though this is NOT my direct line, I am trying to contact any KALER family that may be related to George F. & Martha COLVIN KALER. Both were born in Indiana, moved to Oakley, Logan, Kansas and finally to Arapaho County, Colorado. Thier children, born variously between 1894 to 1908, for the most part seemed to stay in Logan county, Kansas.
One child, Minnie Belle KALER, married my uncle Richard SLACK. They lived in Long Beach, California. My uncle Richard had 2 daughters by a previous marriage, Norma Dixie & Gladys SLACK. I am trying to find this Slack family and am hoping the KALER family had or kept in touch with this side of their family. I know they were on good terms with the SLACK's and may have even adopted or raised "Dixie" and "Glad".
Please, this is a desparation hunt. Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks soooooooooo much in advance,

Carl

Hello, I saw your message on the Ancestry.com message board and I would like to put together a famliy tree for you if you are still interested. Interestingly, I believe I did one for one of your distant relatives a few years ago, he was descended from a Cornelius Kaler, but not sure if you are related yet. I do not charge an exorbitant fee for this service, nor do I charge by the hour. I do a book presentation for you, usually I charge $150, but I will do it for $100 total cost...I have a website you can visit for more information. I love doing research and escpecially family genealogy. The charge basically just covers the cost of materials, computer ink, etc. I make a small amount on it, but it is more the work I enjoy.
Let me know if you are interested...I also keep you informed of my progress through e-mails.

Thank you.

David Guentner
www.backintimefamilytrees.com

Found the following names on three white marble gravestones in South Waldoboro, Maine. These three stones had, for about 45 years, been laying flat in a back field and totally forgotten.

I came across this site by accident and saw my cousin cynthia Kaler was asking information about my grand parents. We would both like to know any history of ancestors to these two. Their full names are Jessie Mae Genthner and Andrew Cheny Kaler or Chney? They lived in Bremen Maine and Jessie's parents i think are Nancy Genthner and Eugene Genthner. Anddrew's mom may be named Mary. Can you help us start a family tree and is there a charge first to do so. Please let us know before you research if there is a charge. thank you

I read your post a while ago, but didn't see that you wanted contact from anyone other than someone who knows about Mary or Joseph, which I don't, but am a descendant also of Jarius Bonney II and Jane Elkins.

Moses Caler was my ggreatfather. On the 1850 census of Van Buren Co, Ak I found David Hunsucker age 49 born in NC his wife Elizabeth 36 born in NC, Nancy age 19 born in Ky, George 14 born in KY, and 4 more children but I could not read the writing. I think Elizabeth was Moses sister. I know his parents were Leonard Caler and Mary Parks. Hope this helps you and I would like to hear from you as I am sure we must be related.
Evelyn Young
These children were put under the guardianship of John George Kaler of Fulton Co., IL. John George petitioned the court to sell their properties located in Mason County, IL in 1866. He was granted permission and sold the property with the proceeds to go toward caring for the three minor children, Martha, Williard George and Henry Hunter Kaler. (I have these court records from Fulton County) What I would like to know is who were the natural parents of these three Kaler children. I am sure it is a relative of John George Kaler of Fulton County. And what exactly happened to the parents of these children? I assume it was a tragedy of some sort, unless the mother died in child birth and the father left the area, which is more unlikely. Is there anyone who would have some information on these three Kaler children?

I'm trying to confirm that Elizabeth KALER (d. of Leonard and Mary PARKS KALER) married David Hunsucker. This family moved from Kentucky to Arkansas. When I find Elizabeth HUNSUCKER living with her son in the 1880 Census of VanBuren County, Arkansas, there is a cousin Ellen CALER living with them. There are also many CALER families living as neighbors -- including Moses and Joicy CALER.

My children descend from David and Elizabeth Hunsucker's son, Martin Hunsucker. Martin's daughter Mary married James HILBURN. Their son John married Lizzie PRATT. Their daughter Wilma is my children's grandmother.

Hi! I am trying to find any information on C.F. Kaler.. Charles Floyd Kaler, my grandfather. He was born June 27, 1889 in Iowa. He married my grandmother, Lena Catherine Wagner; born March 23, 1888; she was from Indiana. So far, I have not found information on either of their parents or siblings (or further back) so no connection has been made with any Kalers on the boards. I was told by my father that the Kalers in our family originally spelled our name "Kehler", but changed it after arriving in the U.S. from Zurich, Switzerland. My grandparents ended up in the Seattle and Olympia, Washington area in the 1910-1915 time frame. Any information that anyone could share would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information about my grandfather, Andrew Cheny Kaler, of Bremen, Maine. I would like to find out the names of his parents. He married Jessie Genthner. I belive that he died in the 1960's. Any information about them would be welcome. cynthiaamykaler@yahoo.com

I am looking for any information about Anna Maria Kaler Born in oct 1750, in Germany. She died on Aug 31, 1839 in Waldoboro, Me. Her father was John Henry Kaler born about 1713, also in Germany. Her mother's name was Elizabeth. I believe she is a relitive, and one of the first of ours to come to the Waldoboro area. She is a relation of Thomas Moody somehow as well I think
