Yes, Caroline did marry Henry and I am trying to find out where she was born in Nova Scotia. I would like to get her birth certificate. William Kettle was my gg grand father. They list her as Croucher (widow) and I would like to find something showing that she was Dauphinee.

I have found out a little about Caroline Dauphinee. Actually according to what I can find out Caroline is my ggggrandma. She married william kettle in 1861 and was marked as widow on her marriage certificate then. just found out that her first husband was Henry croucher and they had a son in 1847.

This message of for all of you keepings, The South west coast of newfoundland is chalk full of keepings, and we have been around for a long time, word has it that a couple of brothers came across from England in the Eary eightieen hundreds.
Settled in Ramea island and burnt island, then one got lost at sea and ended up in the furtune area. Shortly after WWll, a couple of our late cousin lads jumped scooner and ended up in glouster Massitutis, fished out of there and raised their families.
MY grandfather had 12 kids, and his cousin Cirl had 16 and my mom had 11 children, needles to say, the cold nights paid off.

There is a Jobe Kippen that descended from Benjamin Kippen
in Burnt Island's. Do you happen to have any information on

Mimi - I apologise for delay - there was a John KEEPING b. at Boldre 1805 to George KEEPING and his wife Martha (previously Soffe). If you think this may be your John I have links with his brother George b 1803.

I have a Jane KEEPING b 1829 and Caroline KEEPING b. 1834,I have been thinking that a George KEEPING was possibly Jane's father. Finding it hard. I am researching Philip Dalcam variously spelt Dalcan, Dalcom, Dalcon & Dalcum who married Elizabeth Keeping in the Southampton ENG in 1868. They arrived in South Australia (SA) in the ship 'North' on 30 Nov 1875 with their children. I believe Philip may have been a Fireman on the S.S. Euro which sank near Beachport SA in 1881, he survived. I think Elizabeth d. 1882 at Glanville SA but I can't find Philip's death. Do you have any more on Philip please? Ian

my family is from newfoundland, we are keepings, but i believe originally from England, I am having trouble finding out where to find this info out. we wre and are still a prominent family in the southern coast of newfoundland, which is in turn fortune bay, english harbour west.

As for buffets i know quite a lot of buffetts, but none that are related to keeping sthat i know of, i curently live in cape breton, and buffett is a prominant m=name here is certain communities.
